I don't disagree, but it was pretty bad. It's more than enough to piss off an entire team. Honestly, Weber probably motivated the Wings to win game 2 more than the loss did.

So is it safe to assume you don't want Weber suiting up for the Wings next year (or the year after)?

Like I said, I'm not gonna defend his actions. It was stupid, dirty, cheap, and pointless. But Weber isn't gonna come out and let somebody deck him just to restore order. He's gonna fight back and you best believe his head will be on a swivel. He knows he's a target now.

Never said he wasn't gonna fight back. I just said he might get the beating of his lifetime when he steps on the ice next.

Personally I think Red Wings should go after him and beat his ass if they can and that'd be the end of it. I've watched it multiple times and it's really dirty but Zetterberg isn't hurt and as someone said earlier there have been worse things that have happened. Let him get his ass kicked and then keep going. I just wish he hadn't been so fucking stupid.

Finally saw the video. Zetterburg goes in there kind of dangerously. Weber obviously just shrugged him off, and then went bizerk. No idea what the league will do.

You have a link to the video? I missed it and then the stream I was watching (CBC) switched to the damn national anthems before Van/LA

It's April 11th, meaning the Buccos have a solid three weeks before they completely fall apart.

I'm sure we'll hear from Shanaban tomorrow. I expect 1-2 games. Weber doesn't really have a track record of being dirty so I'm hoping 1 game.

Yikes....you can see Zetterberg drives his right leg into Weber's right knee, and Weber got pissed and reacted very badly. Even took a punch at him from behind before slamming his head into the boards. Gotta be a suspension.

Re: NHL 2011/2012 Thread

Weber is the captain of the Predators? Jesus. That's pretty embarrassing. I cannot imagine a scenario where Lidstrom (or Yzerman back in the day) would've ever done anything like that.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought Zetterburg went in there way to hard.

I need to be awake in less than 6 hours and I'm fucking drunk because how intense that game is. If I were substituting I would make it a movie day, but I am student teaching and I am expected to actually teach tomorrow.

I'm watching Matt. Still funny to watch the bromance of Richie and Carts continuing out west. We've seen Richards score that kind of goal probably 15 times....

I mean....yeah, it's a really bad move. He was pissed and over-reacted in the moment. Is it really any worse than what Keith did to Daniel Sedin? I mean, I"m not trying to stick up for Sedin or Weber or knock on Keith because he's one of my favorite Hawks....but my opinion doesn't completely change on a guy because of one play.

Self-righteous Wings fans can fuck off, though. Like they never do anything wrong. Game was basically over and Zetterberg went hard, leg-to-knee on Weber against the boards.

Is Jeff Carter seriously wearing number 77?

Where is Matty, what an atrocity. Ray Bourque must have killed himself when this happened.
