The Rangers started last season by getting crushed 4-0 by the Islanders too. That said, I am in the camp of Rangers fans that believes the organization made a lot of bad and rash moves at the end of last year and during the off season. I don’t have a lot of confidence with the direction we suddenly took. It really looks like the Rangers don’t know how to manage young talent.

Went to bed with the Oilers up 2-0, woke up to a shootout win? Yikes, don't like a 3rd period collapse (of course) but a win is a win, I guess. Still wish the league would do away with the loser point.

Not that anyone cares but expected goals were 4.1-2.26 in favor of the Rangers and they didn't even start Shesterkin. That is a lot of expected goals to lose by. That just suggests the caps got lucky.

Tyler Bertuzzi is one of the four players in the NHL who is not vaccinated.

Super glad the Red Wings will be without him for games in Canada because he has four goals tonight.
