So it's looking like Tampa vs. Boston (and Flyers/Islanders if they close out their series) in the next round in the East.

I watch the NBCSN broadcast instead.

It sucks during the regular season to have to watch NESN because of Jack and Ned Flanders, ah I mean Dale Arnold.

Dirty hits all game from Montreal, but the Flyers are trash for not taking Habs shit at the end of the game? Do you actually watch the games, Bo? Or do you react to one Twitter video and think you know the whole story?

Re: The NHL Thread

The sooner the Flyers dump Montreal the better. They got sucked into too much bullshit yesterday.

They were charged up after Kotkaniemi's dirty ass hit on Sanheim and scored quick, but then got sucked into stupid penalties, chased and just didn't shut anything down. Then you have Suzuki hitting Hart on the head, Lehkonen cross checking Coots in the face because he didn't like getting punked after he was chirping all game and the four Habs starting shit with Thompson in the final seconds because they didn't like his clean body check.

They're a team full of punks being propped up by the talents of Price and Weber. Flyers need to go back to clogging the middle and frustrating Montreal like they did in Games 1, 3 and 4. Rely on puck luck. More talented teams get it.

14-2 goal differential over the last two games of the series. Safe to say they solved Kuemper, eh?

Ordering my Kadri sweater soon!

I was a little worried after Game 3. He was so good in that game.

For sure. A big part of me was like, "we still got 50 shots on net... if we keep doing that, there's no way he can weather that kind of barrage"... but then there's always that little nagging "but what if he does?" feeling.

The Avs adjusted well though. One big thing I noticed the last two games is moving TWO guys to the front of the net instead of one, which is the standard. For example, on that #1 PP unit it's usually Makar up top, Mac on one wing, Rants on the other, Landeskog roving behind the net, and Kadri in front. In the last two games, you'd notice that as soon as the puck would get high, say for a Makar shot, Landy would join Kadri in front of the net to screen and pick up rebounds. Worked masterfully.

That adaptability is going to be key going forward.

Amongst other things. It is great to have hockey this time of year and it was nice to see the Hawks sneak in and upset Edmonton. Thing is up until about 4 days ago I could not actually watch much of the games nor read all that much online. The second day of the return to play a tropical storm and high winds drilled us here and knocked out power and internet all over CT for a few days then that gets over and the second day of round 2 I had a seizure (randomly happens, aka every few years, due to my heart implant) and I smashed my head on a shelf resulting in a concussion and needing stitches half an inch from my right eye so I largely have missed most of these games except listening to the NHL channel chatter. I now am better, stitches are out and I am able to focus after a concussion so i am looking FWD to watching all I can - even if I am frustrated the Hawks are out and I did not see much of their little run. Great that they are returning to play and I look FWD to someone beating on Philly, Boston and Vegas but damn what lousy timing with weather and medical issues - just had to happen as hockey started. UGH. Hope you are all well and safe.

I realize they are the higher seeds but the only play in team to win their series (so far I guess Vancouver and Montreal can still win their series) are the Islanders. Did the play in series take too much out of those other teams vs round robin where it would be nice to win but not do or die?

Concussions are a fucking nightmare. I hope everything ends up being ok. Be well.

Also, leave Vegas alone. If your team has to lose, who doesn’t want to lose to the champ? It’s not like Vegas was dirty or anything. I always try to root on whoever beats my team in the playoffs.

This isn't playoff hockey pace yet. Hockey is haphazard too.
