Caps looked real strong defensively tonight. Especially in the third. I REALLY like a couple of the under the radar players they brought in. Brendan Leipsic is a very pleasant surprise. And I really like the Gudas add. The whole team feels much tougher than it did last year. Of course it’s just two games but those were two confident looking games.

Good game for Samsonov but I honestly didn’t think he even needed to be all that great, the team played suffocating d in front of him. Really strong effort all the way around here.

Pens down 3 of their top 6 forwards long term two games into the season. ffs

Malkin and Letang collided in the neutral zone and Malkin was in an awkward position. Also got hit while in the position by a Jacket
