:lol Pats thread is your jam.

On that same note... there's probably more Bruins talk in that thread than there is in here.

No argument here. Been a bruins fan my whole life. What’s cute is watching somebody melt down after a game 1 loss and handle it the way it was last night in here.

The officiating was bad but it was being called close all game so its not like the Douglas penalties were an anomaly

The refs just couldn't seem to get out of their own way they were out of position all night

I'm definitely a bandwagon Bruins fan for the playoffs, big Patriots and Red Sox fan but they won't be in the playoffs again for several months

Re: The NHL Thread: The year of Stanley Cupsets!

Elitism about how big of a fan you are is dumb. Of course some people want to talk more about their city's team when said team is playing well and one of four teams left in the playoffs.

really not taking that loss well, huh?

Re: The NHL Thread: The year of Stanley Cupsets!

Pretty much everyone in Boston that pays attention to sports even a little bit could easily name 3 players in this roster. There are like 6 guys who have been on this team for what feels like forever. You’d have to pretty much never heard of hockey to not be able to name 3 guys on this Bruins team.

Considering I watched non of the regular season and I've only casually watched some of this years playoffs if you're able to name more of them I would consider you a fan, not sure about super elite fan

No... you need to know what position and line they are on +mpg and +/- to reach super elite status.

Oh, and call jerseys 'sweaters'

Does it make me elite I call them 'goals' & not 'points'???

I don’t. Not that this post has anything to do with anything. Standard Brohan.

Re: The NHL Thread: The year of Stanley Cupsets!

Man that stung for the Avs to lose, especially after that called-back goal. But I recognize that a game is 60 minutes and I'm past blaming a loss on one thing. They just got beat.

But damn it if I'm not proud of the Avs. Demolished a 100-point team in the first round, then took a team with a lot of pressure to win now to seven games. They showed a ton of heart, a ton of skill, and a ton of potential. Looking at their roster and seeing how young they are, how can I not be excited? As long as Sakic stays the course with developing these guys... things could get really good. Like Sakic/Roy/Forsberg/Foote years good.
