Well, the Blues streak ended last night, but what a fun month to be in St. Louis. Definitely did not expect to be excited about postseason hockey just two months ago.

Happy 39th to the Miracle on Ice game. The greatest game in all of sports history. Still crazy I met Rizzo a year ago.

Wow, that Av's/Hawks game had a playoff vibe to it tonight. Outcome was disappointing for me but that was fun to watch. One silly giveaway by Koekkoek (plus some very dumb ass penalties - admittedly both teams took them)
gives the Av's a 4-3 lead late and that was all she wrote except the empty netter that didn't matter much it was so late. Great game. Saving grace for Hawks fans is that Kane's scoring streak extends to 20 straight.

Again, agree completely. These are a gimmick and dangerous to the players who deal with snow, rain, lousy ice conditions among other nonsense. It is like the MLB with that interleague crap, was cool at first when it was only a handful of games per season but now it is just too much - why should the Yankees have to play 6 games against the fucking phillies?

Nyquist to the Sharks really will help their depth scoring, he is going to be setting up their big guns pretty well and can sneak some past goalies at times as well. Solid pickup for SJ.

They just snagged Keith Kinkaid from NJ for a 5th round pick too. Wonder how that effects their thinking on Bobrovsky. Personally, I think if they are going all there is no reason to get rid of Vezina winner who can steal you games but it might be reason to have him be Bob's backup rather than Korpisalo. This is probably the Jackets best chance at a deep run since they are likely losing Bobrovsky and Panarin (among others) to free agency but some of those east teams look dangerous in a playoff series and if they do end up making the final they will be facing a very tough opponent from the west. Sure, if they win a cup it is all worth it but if they don't they have sacrificed the future so to speak UNLESS these moves can somehow convince Bob and Breadman (among others again) that the team is serious about winning and entices them to sign with them as FA's.
