I'm sure Brendan Shanahan took that into effect when he handed down his suspension.

Remember when the Flyers signed that awesome goalie?

I can attest to this. Biggest douchebags in the league and 41 years and counting without a Cup. They have a ton of sweet regular season, individual awards though!

Except the Caps don't pull hair, bite, whine, and dive their way to playoff series wins. Actually, scratch that they do have Brohan so there is some whining.

Unless of course they travel to the state of California, or really play anywhere on the road these days, or if they're in the playoffs.

Yeah I was looking at the standings yesterday and saw their road record. Ouch. I mean their home record is pretty good, their road record is the complete opposite.

Finally catching up to them. It's no fun I'm sure. That was my 09-10 season. When you have half of your AHL team playing and you keep slipping in the standings it sucks. It made me bitter.

Yeah, he's pretty great. Getting no support really from his D, but he'll turn it around.

An interesting take from an anonymous player. But again the whole 14 teams in one conference and 16 in the other doesn't matter so I'm not sure I'm buying this. Even if Phoenix moves East you'll still have two divisions of 8 and two of 7. Doesn't matter where those divisions are located.

James Neal ready to play tonight?! :confused

More power to him if he can, I just don't want him to injure his foot even worse.

Eddie Olczyk talks on WEEI today about how the hit was dirty but Marchand is not a dirty player. Pretty much what I was saying yesterday.

It was a bad hit. Is Marchand a dirty player? I don't think he is yet. It's too early in his career to say. He's a very young guy and he has made some mistakes and he plays the instigator, the antagonizer sometimes. If he continues to make plays like this, then he is definitely going to be considered a dirty player down the road. But if he learns from it, matures, and reigns it in a tough then he can avoid that. And really, it seems like the guys--forwards in particular--who mix it up and play a strong defensive game are going to be called "dirty" by a faction of people. It kind of goes with the territory. But it's the dangerous hits that can cause nasty injuries that Marchard needs to avoid, obviously.

I've never liked Marchand ever since he punched one of the Sedin sisters in the face like five times in a row. I love a good scrum and everything, but it's a pretty shitty to do considering the score and circumstance.

Mike smith is playing his ass off. Been a frustrating night for the rangers as they're basically dominating every aspect except the score.

What happened to the Sabres? I haven't been keeping up with them much and they've fallen off the face of the earth in the NE division standings.

we've been a black hole of free agent talent the past couple years. Boyes and Leino have been beyond pathetic for us so far, and Ehrhoff was no great shakes either before his recent injury.

Vanek might be injured now too for an extended period of time :(

Jonathan Toews just took a redirected shot off the helmet. Left the ice. Did not look good.
