Still feeling good about my USA roster, although I'm positive not all of them will make the team (USA's loss, says I)
David Backes
Dustin Brown
Ryan Callahan
Alex Galchenyuk
Patrick Kane
Ryan Kesler
Phil Kessel
TJ Oshie
Zach Parise
Bobby Ryan
Paul Stastny
James van Riemsdyk
Justin Abdelkader (replacing Legwand, the only guy on my initial roster who wasn't invited to camp)

Zach Bogosian
Erik Johnson
Jack Johnson
Ryan McDonagh
Kevin Shattenkirk
Ryan Suter
Keith Yandle

Craig Anderson
Ryan Miller
Jonathan Quick

I feel it is my obligation to veto all options and present a new one:

No Pavelski??

I had him on last year, but hadn't been impressed with his play, so he got the cut. If he does make it (and with his improved play this year he definitely could), look for him to slide into the spot I had for either Abdelkader (who I think would be great in the Olympics) or JVR.

I don't think we ever talked about the formal charges levied against Varly.

You should still be ok there. What will change is the Leafs won't always have that coveted 7pm, Saturday night national game. You'll see a lot more Montreal and Ottawa here in 2014 and beyond.

Eww. Hockey Night in Canada is the Leafs game. It has been for 30 years. That is not okay.

You're only saying that because you're a Leafs fan. I think it's fantastic I won't be stuck watching them every Sat night. Also, the game would still be on TV and under the HNIC banner, just not necessarily on CBC.

The Monster in net for the Wings tonight. Howie has struggled to win lately so not too surprised.

HNIC = Leafs on Saturday night. Has since T.V. was being beamed into your home. In truth I watch it online (Stream via their website) or from the Xbox app. but if that doesn't become an option I will kick puppies. ALL OF THE PUPPIES!

Again, that's only because you're a Leafs fan. You should probably start heading to the pound now...

Holy shit I completely forgot we play the Wings tonight. These are seriously my favorite games to watch, especially this year. What a playoff series that would be.

Yeah they should do this. Curious to see if they could make more money this way. You gotta think more people would be more likely to buy a package for their hometown team but maybe you lose money from people not paying the full price.

I'll be there tonight. Can't wait. First game I've been to in a long time.

Very interested to see this. Was worried his groin injury would have him miss it. I guess he could still get hurt between now and then but hope not.

Have a great time! I went to the second game we played this year where you beat us, still was an awesome hockey game to watch.

I will. That was a good game, should be one tonight too. I know Gus is having a good year but I remember how bad he was at times in TO so I keep expecting him to blow it again.

Also Wings related, they sign Johnathan Ericsson to a 6 year deal. Haven't seen #'s yet.

Interesting. I was at the car shop when I read about Ericsson and was going to guess more like $2.5 - 3 mil. Not like me to low-ball a good defenseman like that. :lol

Have fun at the game tonight. You taking the Griffster?

Filth.

Lemieux one should be higher if only for the dirty dangle before the pass.

So apparently Paul Martin played the end of the game against Boston with a broken leg. He is now out at least 4 weeks

No. He wouldn't be able to sit through it. Just me and my old man tonight.

And E was already making I think $3.2 or something.

I know a lot of teams do this, but it's still cool. There is a picture of a girl with Hank and she breaks down crying while wearing her totally awesome Zetterberg WC jersey. Terrible what is happening to these kids but it's nice to see them so happy.

Was about to post this after seeing it on Twitter. Love it when teams do this.

Almost quitting time and then off to dinner and then hockey. This will be my 4th game around Thanksgiving. Third time the day before and then was in Columbus the day after a few years ago. I'm 2-1 so hoping to keep this a winning record. Matty, one of those games was against the Avs in 05-06. Wings kicked butt.

Pissed that the Hawks are not out here in LA this year around Thanksgiving. They were the the last 3 years (Last year had there not been a lockout)

Bruins played very uninspired hockey. They were invisible. I think they had 12 shots through 50 minutes.

Best part of the game was after Nyquist missed a wide open net, a Bruins fan was all cocky for some reason and then like 10 seconds later Zetterberg made it 3-0.
