Great start. We’ve been living in Vancouver’s zone all game so far.

This is going quite well so far. We look a lot better than them. Just one game though.

I cannot wait for the day the Lightning finally fire Cooper.

We played well outside of the 1st period, but holy shit would a better coach do us wonders.

Hopeful for Game 2.

Isles and whomever should be a fire series.

That by its self one thing, but I think he was asked to step away based on his constant tactless comments and boneheaded views on hockey. Here is a good analysis of it from the Hockey Guy on YouTube:

Professional athletes and men in general tend to get distracted by women, this isn't even controversial nevermind worth losing a job over. It's just more of the wussification of America.

He climbed into the stands back in the day and fought with Rangers fans. Fuck that guy!

Flyers played well in the 2nd period and that’s all. They need to figure out their offense problems.

There are those in this thread that disagree strongly with you. Also, again, I don't know why I have to repeat myself, but it was not just about that one comment. It is a decade + of Milbury crossing the line or being boneheaded with his views on hockey. He is from a different era and doesn't bring any useful insight to hockey anymore. It was time for NBC to cut ties with him.

You don't go into the stands and you especially shouldn't hit a fan.

He didnt. He was in the locker room and came back out after his teammates got attacked and smacked the guy with his shoe.

He got less of a suspension then the other two guys

Couldn't care less if people disagree with me about Mike Milbury saying something accurate and losing his job over it being wrong, he'd obviously still have the job if he didn't say an entirely bland comment so everything about hockey is beside the point. It points to a bigger problem of sports commentators not being able to say anything on the edge. It effects the sports I do love, golf coverage now is terrible, the Red Sox broadcast used to be amazing with Remy and Orsillo saying things the current cast never could now if the team was worth watching in the first place, etc.

You like to point to the hardcore hockey talk side of Milbury, many people I've listened to comment on it who are passionate about hockey say he was one of the very few remaining hockey commentators who will say anything even slightly negative.

Add me to the list of ToySoldier#34 takes are just as bad as Milbury’s. Send him out of the bubble as well.

I knew if they didn't pot one soon that the defense/Hart was gonna get overwhelmed in the third. That second goal was basically a backbreaker.

They need to not scratch JvR. I know he's not scoring, but he's way more dynamic a player than some of the guys out there. Put him on a scoring line and see what happens!

I mean we only have one woman in this thread and we are more likely to snag Olivia Wilde than to snag legs

Doubling down on mysogynistic comments is such a cool thing to do. So edgy! I'm glad you look up to Milbury. Such a hero to have.
