Hutton is a mediocre AHL goalie. Probably just a formality in case of injury. Crawford is certainly going nowhere unless a G is coming back. Emery? Don't see them trading him, as Hutton is certainly no upgrade and Salak has only recently returned from injury.

Anyway....big game for Hawks tonight, IMO. Got to beat down the Stars tonight, no letting them off the hook with a point. Their lineup is not very impressive with Benn & Morrow out. Kane needs to play like he did against the Wings and he'll have a big game. Let's do this, Hawks.

I love Jamal Mayers. Great depth guy who can fight, win face-offs, throw one into the back of the net once in a while.

LOL Jack Johnson and a 1st for Jeff Carter is the rumor of the day. LOL too much for an injury-prone forward who doesn't play defense and falls short in the playoffs

Eh, it's not impossible. Detroit loses a couple in a row and we keep winning...who knows what could happen. I'm not saying it's gonna happen, but I'd rather we not rule it out with 21 games left.

Plus, that would mean the streak would extend another 2 games, which I don't want to happen either.

rumors saying it will take 2 prospects and a pick for Brown. Hawks can DEFINITELY get in on that. McNeil Morin and a 1st? I would absolutely do it.

That is a bit of an overpayment, I think. Though it's tempting, Brown has a really good cap hit. Morin, lower prospect, 1st? And make them take Frolik away from us, too?

Eklund says Rangers Sabres and Leafs are in on Brown, so those 3 teams are definitely out.
