Who was the guy around the table saying yeah but let's not review hand passes?

Re: The NHL Thread: The year of Stanley Cupsets!
Joe Thornton’s comments were embarrassing. Yikes.

Refs are gonna miss calls but what happened in overtime cannot be acceptable. I can’t believe they actually let that happen.

Re: The NHL Thread: The year of Stanley Cupsets!
Blues fan here so I know I’m not the most neutral observer of this shit right now but I have zero clue why we have reviews if we can’t use them for shit like that. It’s cool we can tell if a player leaving the ice completely away from the play was offsides though.

Lets review is a guy was offsides by a skate blade 45 seconds before a goal, but not that...... |
Re: The NHL Thread: The year of Stanley Cupsets!
I'm against replay almost across the board..but the fact that they do have it and can't use it for things like this is a travesty

but IMO it takes the fun out of sports. The fact they can sit there and nitpick video for minutes to find a reason to keep or overturn a call is ridiculous put a timer on in 1min-1min30 (and that is probably still too much) if you cant confirm or change a call..call stands but this is a debate for another time lol |
Re: The NHL Thread: The year of Stanley Cupsets!
I'm pretty sure the hockey reviews are the quickest in all of sports. Probably average under than 1.5 mins you're talking about DMBSU.
Also, there have absolutely been some horrible calls this post-season... but I still think hockey officials are mostly very good. Better than other sports anyway... how they can keep up with everything moving so fast is beyond me. |

That’s pretty much like the nfl catch rule. They just don’t really know what “goalie interference” is. |
Re: The NHL Thread: The year of Stanley Cupsets!
Make everything reviewable or nothing reviewable

The old catch rule made more sense, catch the football and don’t let go of it until your back on the bench |

I won't even get started when the war room has to call down to appraise the refs that a puck went in 10 minutes after it happened and they have to review it, call it a goal and add that time back to the clock! :) |
