Agreeing on 6 out of 8 series outcomes is not bad man! I think Anaheim is too banged up to beat San Jose and I think Colorado can ride their wave into at least round two. Good luck to you Caps as well!

To be clear, I would love to see the Knights go as far as they can. How cool would it be for an expansion team to make a deep run in its inaugural season. They certainly aren't scrubs... They have a dependable D core, a hot first line, good secondary scoring, and a goalie who has certainly been around the playoff block a time or two.

However, LA is really coming on strong lately, getting hot at the perfect time. Carter is killing it, Brown is back to his old self (which is a style of play PERFECTLY suited to the playoffs, BTW), and Kopitar is having a Hart-level season. I think with their skill, combined with their mountains of playoff experience, the Conference Finals is not impossible for them.

I certainly wouldn't be shocked if Vegas takes round 1. If the Kings hadn't started to turn their game around here at the end, I don't think I would've even thought about them advancing.

It's great because both teams have a lot to prove right now. Unbiased, this is my favorite match up of round one.

CBS floating rumors that the Rangers are close to signing Kovy to a 2-3 year deal. :BANG

I hope this is not true. I see very little upsides of that deal happening for New York. Also, why would he want to come to a team in rebuild mode at this stage in his career?

Yeah if they were close to winning a Cup and needed some goal scoring...sure but not now. Tavares...that's one thing. A 30-something? No.
But yeah this. Talk around here Wings might look at bringing Vanek back but he'll be cheap and fit in well here. Kovy will cost more even with being gone for what? 5 years?
