I like the idea of a tie breaker game, but it should have been figured out before the season started. Not on a whim like this.

Honestly, it should be head-to-head regular season matchup record.

Ugh, this Humbolt thing has me a bit rattled this morning. I feel like nearly every kid in Canada has spent weeks of their life on some kind of team bus, usually a combo of boredom and fun with your friends.

I feel the exact same way. Can’t even imagine what their families and surviving players are going through right now. There was a picture posted on Twitter of three players in their hospital beds holding each other’s hands up. Made me well up a bit.

There’s also a gofundme that is up, and it’s incredible to see the outpouring of support. It was near 320k last I looked and they keep updating the goal
amount.

If this situation occurs I am not sure what else you could do. Honestly, the Flyers remaining game is against the Rangers which should earn them two points. Panthers should gain two points against the Sabers rather easily and you have to wonder who will be dressed for an already clinched Bruins team tomorrow, why risk your top guys in a game that is meaningless to them? So yeah, I think a one game playoff is a genuine possibility.

A tiebreaker game would be awesome! That’s basically what we have with the Avs/Blues coming up.

I don’t think it will be necessary, Flyers will get a point today. Although I did read somewhere Florida fans were offering donations to Lundqvist’s charity if the Rangers beat the Flyers today. But Panthers have like 12 fans so that’s not much incentive.

Damn shame about the junior hockey team. The wifey and I are in Niagara Falls this weekend (the Canadian Side of course) and it’s all over the news.

Anyway, if the Preds and Caps hold on tonight, it’s Pennnns/Flyers in the first round! Wooo!
