Opening the game up for the "stars", however, doesn't interest me. A great defense and especially great goaltending is just as exiting to watch as a great offense.

But I still would rather call it a tie than take it to a shootout, so what do I know.

Theres a difference between great defense and what we have now, which is blatant interference, guys draped all over each other, and goalies that wear oversized equipment.

I don't know how many people read this website on a boarderline religious basis like I do, but Matty, Kevin Shattenkirk is doing a piece that will give you a big boner...he's doing a write up on the best defenseman in the league:

http://www.theplayerstribune.com/eli...attenkirk-nhl/

I still think, for me, Duncan Keith is the most enjoyable player to watch in the game. He's so sneaky good. I love his hockey IQ, and his absolutely ridiculously insane ability to skate. He's by far the best skater in the league, IMO. I know a lot of guys have the nickname "Crazy Legs" for him for that very reason. I love #2.

^ The Best Skater in the game? That's a bit of a stretch, but he is one of the best D-men in the league.

Wings need to win tonight. Pens, you need to get your shit together too. A Wings win in any fashion and a Pens regulation win, gets the Wings in the playoffs.

i really don't know how Richards has this team operating on such a high level given these games are literally meaningless.

wild sliding into the end of the year, lost 3 straight

rough end to the schedule too..

hawks tonight on the road
then at nashville and at st. louis

feels like they need 2 more points
kings schedule is a little easier..

was thinking the same thing the other day. It's gotta be so tough to get yourself psyched to play when it means nothing and when it might mean something to the other guys.

well i think this makes it easier. based on their post game comments i know they were fired up to play the pens this past weekend since it could end up knocking them out of the playoffs.

With how good they've been since the ASG, a bump in the road was bound to happen. As for how many points to get, 2 probably get them in. With the teams around them being from another division makes it hard to really figure it out.

Pens regardless cause even if the Sens win out and they still end up tied with Pitt in points, Sens will only have 37 ROW's while the Pens have 38 right now.

Alright, starting in 3 hours I will become either completely bald, or I'll be very excited. I am hoping for excited. Go Wings and Go Pens....just threw up in my mouth, but sacrifices.

Go Sens and go Predators. Need big games from Rinne and Hammond

Though I am tempted to bench one of those two in favor of Halak, but I'll be at the Flyers game so feel bad rooting for the opposing goalie

Rangers have won the presidents trophy once in 88 years.
That 1 time?
1994.

Can't believe I'm rooting for the Pens tonight.

Wings started a little clunky, but they got more control as the period progressed and looked strong closing it out. Now it's time to get pucks in the net. These next 40 (possibly 45) minutes are going to be nail-biting. And I hope the Pens can keep their lead.

The only time it's mattered. Can't believe they've only won it once.

EDIT: Wrong. They won in 1991-92 as well.

lol. They are gonna lose to the Canes. Wtf? They look almost disinterested. There is no fire in this team.
