Lot of good stuff coming up on Sirius tonight! Avett Bros at Bonnaroo, DMB Camden, and Phish at ‘Roo.

So is this live tonight or is it on a delay? Sirius has it starting at 9pm

Just got an email today from Sirius for three months for a total of 99 cents. Can cancel at anytime, but if I don't it will be 8 bucks or so every month thereafter. Looks to be streaming only (no car). You all probably are all set and know other ways to get essentially free Sirius, but this was what I was looking for. Will take me thru the Gorge.

No Ari the DB this week, but Nikki Glaser talked through the end of Bartender. :mad
Makes me miss the uninterrupted streams from last summer.

It will be ok. A DJ talking for a few seconds during a show shouldn't be a big deal.

The only time during a song was the very end of Bartender. Hopefully it doesn't happen again but it wasn't THAT bad.

I wonder if they do it to keep people from ripping it?

Ha. Thanks for the support, I guess? I never said it was that big a deal, but it's not like that was the only time they've done this. Ari felt the need to cut in last week during the BEF->JTR segue so that Dave could tell his fans to kiss his ass! I guess it's just frustrating because there are plenty of lulls between songs where there is no music being played or any Davespeak... just 20 seconds of crowd noise--plenty of time to chime in with a station ID then.

That's a pretty good guess, and a good enough reason I suppose.

She's definitely easier to listen to than Ari, that's for sure. I've always been a fan of her comedy too, and if I had a chance to bone her, then she can talk through any song she wants.

Listened to this show on the way to work expecting only one time for the sirius plug at the end of bartender...well she popped up 3 other times and every damn time she scared the living hell out of me. The volume levels are much higher when she comes up.

Only slightly misogynistic but ok

With Jam on going internet only and channel 29 becoming phish radio, do people think it helps dmb’s chances of getting a permanent station especially if phishes station is successful. My only argument with the dmb channel would be they’d have to mix it up more or much more then they do now. I’d also like to see jam on come back to the radio, on another channel.

Lol, they’re using Blackjack as background music interviewing fans. They couldn’t have picked a better song?

no one is listening to this nonstop are they? I've listened on drives here and there so maybe 5-6 hours total. I've heard Sledgehammer (or the start of it anyway until I change the channel) at least 7 times. Brutal.

Wait. Is jamon gone for good? Noticed a few days ago it was Phish radio but figured it was a temporary take over. That’s gonna suck if it’s permanent

It’s funny, I turned it on for first time in like a week and the first song I heard was Sledgehammer. There needs to be some Sirius exclusive content, besides the live streams they have every Friday.

Re: Dave Matthews Band to Launch Limited-Run SiriusXM Channel

JamOn needs to be a regular (not internet only) channel. I have been a subscriber for nearly 20 years and now I am likely to cancel if they don't bring it back. They played live DMB on JamOn on a regular basis. I discovered many bands on that channel.

Seems like they've been playing a lot of songs from various shows from 2018/2019. I think 4 of the SH's I heard were from different shows.

Yes... internet and app only. Not on the regular channels that are where I listen... my car.

Yes you can sync the phone with the car. That lessens the quality of the sound (XM already has some issues with sound quality, this makes it worse). It also burns through my phone battery and uses bandwidth usage minutes. The signal can go out in places where it is not strong. I should not have to use my phone in my car to recieve JamOn when my car is equipped to receive Sirius/XM.

Bottom line... this is not an acceptable alternative for the way I consume satellite radio.
