I was at that show. Everything seemed a little extra powerful that night. I was shocked they went on, i was expecting after the opener that someone would come out and announce the band wouldn’t be playing that night. It’s a tape i haven’t gone back to much, as it’s a bit of a downer tho has some good davespeak.

People rave about Bartender (rightfully so), but i remember Proudest Monkey, So Damn Lucky, The Maker, Sister and Two Step being some of the standouts. Two Step had Roi-inspired lyrics in the intro. The show had Dreaming Tree and Loving Wings too.

It was a unique, powerful show to witness. I don’t know how it’s gonna be to someone who wasn’t there, but there’s no denying it’s a significant date and show in the band’s history. They truly gave everything they had in the tank that night. The next night they were just out of gas and defeated, and that’s completely understandable. I’ll never forget Jeff Coffin lifting their spirits during his solos that second night. It was really something special to watch that man help them get to the finish.

Stefan and Carter were a wreck during that show, understandably so.

There's a YouTube video, not sure if it's still up, that shows Dave crying during Two Step with circling the tears like a NFL commentator breaking down a play. Guys Dave was crying, see him cry, see that tear right there. I thought it was a really weird video to post.

I remember that video. The guy was trying to convince everyone it wasn't sweat but tears running down his cheek. Like, well, yeah probably so dude. His co-worker and friend just tragically died.

Just heard an ad for a 1999 show this Friday, caught the tail end of it but didn’t hear the venue name. But I’ll take that year.

Yeah, there are just literally thousands of shows that are likely never going to be released in an official capacity, so why not share the wealth, especially on your own, permanent Sirius channel?

That’s pretty wild that it really is happening, the show from the date of lerois passing.....kudos to them for releasing it. Will be an emotional one for many for sure.

This makes me think the Drive-In show will be Roi related too. LT14 maybe.

Just a thought to the end of the summer, do you think we will see a heavy Gorge presence around Labor Day for these steams?

I do think we’ll see at least one gorge show that week. Either from Sirius, or the Drive In

edit; havent watched again, until now. somebody above pasted a link. absolutely hilarious. we all know how much dave sweats right? this 280 p video from 75 yards away attempts to discern from and tell me that dave is wiping away tears vs sweating voraciously like he always has. gimme a break

110% yes.

That would be a great pick, but I think realistically, it will be LT 44 if the drive-in series doesn't use it.

I'm assuming that's a Gorge release? If so, you are probably right.

LT 44 (Gorge N3 2016) originally came with a Blu-Ray option, so that’s probably not an option for the Drive-In series. Also, all 3 of the Gorge 2011 shows were webcast live at the time, so those are prob not options as well.

Maybe and maybe not. No doubt they'll include the story Dave told about hearing Roi play for the first time.

Really hoping someone is recording this Staples Center show. Absolutely the best show I've heard in years.

The Dave and Tim show from Mexico that was on XM earlier this summer was also stellar. Did anyone record that stream?
