I'm okay with the loss. Flyers needed a game to come back to reality.

Holy shit some of these are incredible:

- If you could go back in time and play with any player in history, which one would you knee in the face? #AskNeal

-Sally has 15 apples. Jerome takes 7 apples from Sally. How many times do you knee Jerome in the face before taking a match penalty? #AskNeal

-James, there's a girl I really like and I want to impress her. Should I cross-check her in the face, or knee her in the head? #AskNeal

-#AskNeal When you face the Rangers, how hard is it to skate on your knees to give St. louis a cheap shot to the head?

-If you could concuss any U.S President, who would it be? #AskNeal

-How shocked were you to find out that "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" wasn't about kneeing people in the head? #AskNeal

-My puppy keeps peeing in the house. Should I elbow him in the head or cross check him? #AskNeal

NHL tonight saying the Habs beat us by matching our toughness was hilarious. Just remember, there are no shootouts in the playoffs. Habs will be bounced out just like last year.

That is just fucking unfair.

Can no one do anything right? Tampa can't lose in regulation and Montreal can't just lose. Come on!

Huge win for the Rangers last night!!

Sad to see the Bruins lose...especially to the Habs.

Big night in East race tonight. Caps and Leafs both with tough home games against the Kings and Blues, respectively, and of course the huge DET/CBJ matchup. Really hoping for anything but overtime in that one

Don't worry, Wings will win in regulation...hopefully

That's kind of what I'm hoping for I think. Although if the Jackets win and so do the Caps, we jump over y'all. Of course a Wings win means potentially more space between WSH and CBJ which is also good. Like I said, just no OT please

My whole thought process is based on the Caps winning tonight though, which is surely no guarantee :lol

Yeah you gotta worry about your own team and then just hope for some luck. If you don't win, doesn't matter what the rest of the teams do. And as for leaping them, the Wings and Jackets would still have that game in hand though.

Great news, the Oilers can finally get embarrassed by a good team for a change tonight. 10.5 hrs until they are drubbed by the Sharks.

Easily the most disappointing season I've ever been a fan. Oiler Nation didn't set their expectations too high shooting for the playoffs did we? I didn't think it was that greedy, and was totally achievable considering all the #1 picks and recent additions. fml.

I think a lot of people expected to at the very least challenge for a playoff spot. We've talked about drafting Murray instead but I don't think that puts them any closer to the playoffs. And you'd think with only 14 teams in the West that they'd have a better chance but no. Going to be an interesting offseason in Edmonton.

They would have a game in hand, which is crucial. Caps have a game in hand over the Leafs though. Ideally for me tonight: Caps win, Leafs lose in reg, Wings and Jackets don't go to OT. If that happens, the Caps are in the final spot still with a game at hand over Toronto

Either way this time of year is so fun and so stressful if you're on the bubble

Toronto is kinda screwed in all of this. Played 2 more games than Wings and Jackets and one more than Caps. Can't believe they play again tonight so the other teams will still have their game(s) in hand. Let's go Blues!

It looks like Reimer's lost all confidence/desire to play for the Leafs. Hopefully he's able to get out.

Anyone see some of the things people were tweeting to his wife the other night after the game? People are dicks.

Didn't see it and don't want to. I like social media in the way we get news so fast and in some cases get to interact with athletes and celebrities and for us sports writers but you get to see how many douchebags there are in the world. They were always there but now you get to see them up close and personal. AOL and message boards started it but twitter and FB just bring it to a whole new level.

Agreed. I only found out because Proteau sent out a general tweet condemning it. People telling her to kill Reimer while he sleeps and shit.

Yah that's uncalled for, I feel bad for him but he is helping keep CBJ in the playoff race.

Well Tim, here we go again. I really don't see the Jackets winning tonight.
It also looks like the place will be half empty with lots of wings fans, which will be an embarrassment on national TV.

Stupid. People also forgot how well he played last year. I hope he gets out of there. A place, like you mentioned, like NYI might be good. Not a lot of pressure and can build himself back up.

So sad. I know like you said, they've been bad more often than not, but still a game that could put you back into the playoff spot, or put you 3 points out, is a huge game.

In non-good news for Toronto, CBJ and the Caps, Datsyuk has started to skate. No time for when he plays yet but skating is a start.

Also Wings will have their 8th debut tonight. Mitch Callahan will probably play tonight and will be the 8th player to make his NHL debut. Thankfully this is just to switch things up and not cause of another injury. Ferraro was sent down.

Figured I'd share this with you guys. A website in Buffalo is giving away $1000 if our $4.5mil man Ville Leino doesn't score a goal this season.
