Lookin for some love for Live Trax 2: Golden Gate Park
 

I feel like this album doesn't get the credit it deserves. The sound quality, the energy of the crowd (chanting/screaming/etc), overall setlist, and most of all Dave's energy throughout this whole show is simply amazing. And then you get a Carlos Santana guest appearance on top of it all.

Anyone else love this one as much as I do?

sound quality is terrible on that live trax. can hardly hear any sax at all, especially on the first disc. i only listen to warehouse, sugar will and watchtower. the rest is whatever.

This is my favorite Sugar Will ever. Too much is great and there are some other great versions in there (BOWA, #41, Stone). I'm a big fan.

LT 2 was actually the first LT i owned. Before my old ipod bit the dust One Sweet World from this show was my most played DMB song by a mile. For some reason I just dug the version. Other highlights for me are definitely Joyride, Sugar Will, LIOG, and Warehouse.

LT2 has always been one of my favorite Live Trax. The Too Much is great. Joyride is fantastic. Sugar Will's mind blowing. And the Watchtower may be the best released one (yes I like it more than CP).

Ouch, I really disagree with this but to each his own. This is my favorite live trax because of the energy, set list, and location. I think the mix is great and the guitar cuts through really well. This OSW is my favorite version ever- you can just feel the energy building in the crowd when stefan is messing around with those bass notes before the start of the song. Up to where are you going, (which I don't have a problem with) every song is just explodingggg

I'm a big fan of this Live Trax! One of the first DMB cd's I reallys tarted listening to. I like Warehouse, BOWA, and the intro from #41 is different!

Some awesome versions of songs and some meh/bad versions of songs.

Sugar Will, Joyride, Too Much, Warehouse are awesome.
The Stone, DIDO, Jimi, Loving Wings are pretty bad.

I think that is because there was confusion and Carter thought they were playing Rhyme and Reason. But still I am with you on this, I like this version A LOT too, including the beginning. Dave's singing with extreme energy, and the Everyday outro is great.

I don't think any song on any Live Trax is "bad". They were made into a Live Trax for a reason. I've actually only heard the Dave Matthews Band play one bad song in the 15 shows I've been to, and that was Cornbread > Stand Up at Hartford (5/29/10). I'm not saying it was bad because I don't like Cornbread or I don't like Stand Up (I don't really have anything against either of those songs...maybe I wish they played Cornbread a little less) but that song just didn't sound good.

I was there, so I can say it's one of the LTs I've listened to the most.

This and 7.23.04 are the best Sugar Wills.

The DIDO from LT2 might be the best released DIDO there is. The intro is badass.

Hello Again is one of my fave versions. BOWA is terrific too. I might need to pop this one again, I've never been that big on it (i don't think its bad by any means). I've never been big on Santana's guesting, he always strikes me as being 'lost' and not really knowing or caring if he fits with the song or not.
