completely disagree, i think the Ducks are perfectly built for the playoffs, but the west is a monster

although they do have goalie issues now

and, well, their coach :lol

I'm with you. Not that it won't be good, but it's probably the series I care the least about. I'm very intrigued by the Jackets/Pens series, as I feel that if any upset could happen, it could happen there. I also feel that way about the Avs/Wild series... but I am prone to attempting to shield myself from disappointment by automatically assuming the Avs are going to blow it when something good happens. This despite the fact that they've proven me wrong multiple times this season.

Totally. That's not how we do shit here. Oh well, easy to ignore.

I went with the running joke and have the Avs taking it in 6 over the Jackets. I know I should take it more seriously, but... :lol

If anything, probably better since the East isn't nearly as deep as the West. Head to head the Ducks clearly have more skill, but that West is just a freaking beast.

As much as I like Getzlaf, I just don't see it happening. As you said, the West is a monster, and although one team has to come out of it, I just don't see it being Anaheim. Only having to play one of the Sharks/Kings will help, but I think the winner of that series beats the Ducks.

I've been wrong before, though. In fact, I usually am with predictions.

Two games starting 30 minutes apart. That's great for ending times for the games. If they are close, one will finish and then can flip over for the other. Wonder which CBC game I'll get. Habs/TBL or CBJ/PIT.

it makes perfect sense that the BJ's shoot off a cannon every time they score

No Steve Mason out on the ice for the Flyers yet. So it looks like Ray Emery is going to start Game 1.

Bummer.

Jan Hejda got hurt in the FINAL game of the season and is questionable for tomorrow. That guy, along with Johnson on the top pairing, have been incredible for us this year. At least Tyson Barrie is back.

Not worried about Mason missing Game 1.Emery is 7-2-0 lifetime vs. NYR with a 1.87 GAA and .936 sv% (courtesy of Baicker)

it just depends on the situation.

my dad grew up in buffalo as a bills and yankees fan, the sabres didn't exsit yet. he raised me a bills and yankees fan, i just watched the NHL as a fan of hockey and rooted for the sabres since my connection with the bills and having lived in buffalo for a few summers when i was a kid.

when i moved to columbus 6 years ago i started going to a ton of blue jackets games, just to watch hockey in person, and really started to root for the team. i'll always root for the sabres too, but not over CBJ at this point.

i'd never switch my allegiance fromt he yanks or bills to the ohio teams though, that was engrained in me from birth.
