I haven’t kept up with the NHL plan that much other than seeing it’s now in motion. Are there going to be any crowds at all? I like the fact that they put it in Canada, where the virus is mostly under control, as opposed to ANYWHERE in the States.

I do think they came up with the best possible plan they could as far as how the games will be played. Hopefully it goes off without a hitch.

Precautionary because of possible secondary contact. Thats what they should be doing. Its likely nothing, I dont think experienced players missing any of this 'training camp' thing really matters.

i can kind of take or leave this playoff format plan. Might be cool to ride around downtown to go NHLer spotting but I almost certainly won't do that...

But the best part of the CBA is that Olympic looks to be back on the table.

Yea, as cute as the Miracle story was, that shit doesn't make money. We need the NHLers playing in the Olympics. Huge money and a way better product.

I love the Miracle story, it's iconic. but I badly want to see the real stars of the game battling each other out for true glory.

And I want to clarify: the Miracle story still makes huge money. But amateurs in 2020 will not generate money for USA Hockey, no matter how many times the country wins it.

As a Habs fan, this might sound odd but I'd rather lose to Pittsburgh and have a 12.5% chance at Lafreniere then try to to win this year. Not that I think they can actually beat the Penguins but I am going to be actively cheering for them to lose.

I'm so juiced. This has almost like a March Madness feel to it. I think there'll be some brackets out there for NHL playoffs.
