I know you didn't mean a Lightning player, but now that's all that I can think about...

HBK:See I just kicked Stamkos!!!

Did you notice the giant stuffed penguin in a seat behind the goal TB defended twice last night?

It was cracking me up all night.

I noticed that too. Saw pictures a few kids wearing Pens jerseys in the lower level, doesnt seem like they did shit about it.

Stamkos also not likely to play but the Bishop news was a bit more definitive from Cooper

I just had to work with two police officers at my work with regards to a shoplifting incident at my store, and one of the cops looked identical to Nate Schmidt. Same goofy grin and everything. It was amazing. I kept catching myself staring at the guy and not listening to these guys telling me this important stuff :lol

Surely this has nothing to do with whatever y'all are talking about today, but I felt it was post worthy

Schmidty is the man. Huge goof ball off the ice but super serious on the ice. Had the chance to hang out with him and Garrett Mitchell in 2015

Big game for St. Louis. They need to bounce back after being dominated on Tuesday. Only real concern for the Sharks is whether Thornton is 100% after that slash.

Big win for the Pens last night, they certainly earned it. They had some jump in their step and extra speed like they took their vitamins earlier or something. I sure hope they got Murray a new glove if they don't want the series tied tomorrow!

Re: The NHL Thread

Guess that answers my question about Thornton, he is showing no real signs of any injury and already has an assist. Jones looks damn solid. Big hill for STL to climb, now they get to start the second killing a penalty!

Blues need to score early and often in game 4. Otherwise I think the Sharks are swimming right into the finals.

:lol That sandwich, my god! Seriously, though, this line has been incredible. Every game I think "Maybe this is the game they get stopped." But then they put up a couple more points. So much fun to watch. HBK all the way!

Yeah, they are solid all around and do all the fundamentals right without being overly flashy. Watching them work a power play is just amazing they just poke and prod and set up (and often cash in on) the opportunities that present themselves - also, their PK is damn solid too.

they're playing close to perfect hockey right now. just manhandling the Blues

Yeah, they sure are and if they can keep this up they will be the last team standing but I do expect a hiccup or two along the road. STL is having a hangover after 2 straight 7 game series' that were extremely physical and I think it is catching up with them. Sharks only played 5 games in the first round so I think that is a bit of an edge for them. All that aside, if the Sharks keep playing this good no one is going to stop them.

Like I was saying last round, there is not a team playing better than the Sharks right now when you look at their all-around team game. As a hockey fan in general, they are an absolute joy to watch.

I feel like such a bad fan. I've watched 0 minutes of conference final action so far. No highlights or postgame reading, nothing. If it wasn't for this thread, and maybe general hockey pages on Facebook, I wouldn't even know what was happening.

The worst part is, I don't find myself compelled to watch either which means I can't talk to you guys about what's happened.

Can we just skip to the draft and free agency please?

i hate saying this as a Pens fan because they are still playing and it will come off as biased, but you're missing some really good hockey, honestly

just at it's most basic, purest, level, the hockey that San Jose and Pittsburgh are playing is so entertaining and skillful. hoping the Blues can find the net again and make that series interesting
