Habs are whining and saying they're going after him tonight. What's Kreider to do there? give up on the play because there is a chance he could hit the goalie? Blame the D that he toasted a few times for getting burned and then making a reckless play going for the puck. |
Good thing for the habs they still have that 93 banner to shine a pretty spotlight on before playoff games.

Re: The NHL Thread
Hate it for Price and the Habs. Want to beat them, but not with their best players out.

Well check this out:

Realistically, we had this discussion a while back about the small handful of teams that could compete now for a Cup, if that's what he's even looking for. Anaheim and San Jose are possibilities, if they are really looking at shaking things up. I like the idea of him being something of a mentor for that Gibson kid on the Ducks. An interesting storyline now is Pittsburgh... does his availability change the MAF situation? Hmmm... If he's not necessarily looking for a teams immediate ability to compete for a Cup, there's a myriad of options. I bet Garth Snow is pissing himself right now. |

But yeah, "reckless" - as Therrien and the Habs are calling it - is bullshit. Kreider was going to the net like anyone would and should do with that kind of speed, and he was tripped up by the d-man who overcommitted and was trying to play catch up. Be pissed at Emelin, not Kreider. |
Re: The NHL Thread
Another thing with Miller... would Minny look at him? They're not afraid to spend money, and while they've got some good talent on their depth chart in goal, they are missing a clear #1. Not saying they SHOULD, but you have to think they will at least look into it.

Good for St. Louis. The freight train is rolling.

Re: The NHL Thread
Good second as well! Can't ask for anymore than a two goal lead on the road in game 2!
