It......sucks. I brought home a stomach bug once and gave it to him. G usually brings home colds and those kind of things. That first year was the worst though. Sorry dude. Feel better.

holy shit. I hate the Habs...like really hate them, but that sucks. He finally is having a great playoff where fans can't get on him in that city and this happens.

Yeah, of all the teams left the Habs are who I least want to win. But man, that sucks hard.

Habs are whining and saying they're going after him tonight. What's Kreider to do there? give up on the play because there is a chance he could hit the goalie? Blame the D that he toasted a few times for getting burned and then making a reckless play going for the puck.

rickyh24 05-19-2014 09:22 AM

Good thing for the habs they still have that 93 banner to shine a pretty spotlight on before playoff games.

Hate it for Price and the Habs. Want to beat them, but not with their best players out.

Agree. You want to beat the best, especially with that position and with how good he is. Of course you still take the win if you get it, but just not the same.

WOW. I thought at least an attempt would be made at re-signing. Is Garth Snow peeing his pants right now?

Realistically, we had this discussion a while back about the small handful of teams that could compete now for a Cup, if that's what he's even looking for. Anaheim and San Jose are possibilities, if they are really looking at shaking things up. I like the idea of him being something of a mentor for that Gibson kid on the Ducks. An interesting storyline now is Pittsburgh... does his availability change the MAF situation? Hmmm...

If he's not necessarily looking for a teams immediate ability to compete for a Cup, there's a myriad of options. I bet Garth Snow is pissing himself right now.

Yup, first thing I noticed. Should have been a penalty shot. I wonder if Habs fans are pressing charges.

bonzo48280 05-19-2014 11:03 AM

I'm not sure I would've called a penalty shot because of how close Kreider was to already getting the shot off. His speed and forward progress weren't technically impeded, although his balance was. It's awfully close, so I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you 100%. :thumbsup

But yeah, "reckless" - as Therrien and the Habs are calling it - is bullshit. Kreider was going to the net like anyone would and should do with that kind of speed, and he was tripped up by the d-man who overcommitted and was trying to play catch up. Be pissed at Emelin, not Kreider.

Another thing with Miller... would Minny look at him? They're not afraid to spend money, and while they've got some good talent on their depth chart in goal, they are missing a clear #1. Not saying they SHOULD, but you have to think they will at least look into it.

Ducks or Sharks I think. Go back to his wife being an actress. Pitt or Minny would be my other maybes. To the stupid people in the interwebs, no the Wings will not sign him to replace Howie who has a NMC and actually had good stats in the 3 games he played in the playoffs before the flu. Morons.

Funny Saturday he thought it was just an accident but as time went on....reckless. I personally don't see anything Kreider could have done. He's not a mutant that just appear somewhere else like he's an X-Man. Hey....imagine that. Just appear somewhere and be able to score goals. You could really screw with a goalie.

Good second as well! Can't ask for anymore than a two goal lead on the road in game 2!
