Guys, I just wanna say I love that we've crushed like 5 or 6 pages today. Best time of year.

Habs/Rags
Jackets/Penns

both should be great matchups

If the Bruins fall to #8, Caps/Bruins will be great to watch. And then Leafs/Sens will get the 7 P USA/CNBC treatment

Hawks v Blues/Preds will be great with either team.

Pacific matches are still way up in the air

Amen. I can't even keep up.

Really, really hoping the Hawks get Calgary and not Nashville.

Dude, I know. I was really hoping for an Anaheim/SJS matchup too.

Oilers v Sharks could be interesting if that happens

tons of talent on the ice if nothing else

Yeah, can barely keep up by backreading.

But to sum up:

- Fowls are bad
- I am rattled by the playoff posters
- OMGCG is Top 300 now
- Home Field is a big deal in the NHL playoffs

Kopitar was and has been the leader on the ice.

You shut your trap.

You're talking about the future captain of the Vegas Knights.

I thought that Mike Richards took that honor. Eight Ball giveaway for 18+

Brown's captaincy was his best asset. Kings taking that away devalues him, imo. It only hurt themselves with trade value. It was an awful move. Was 100% political.

Brown was a better player than Kopi this year.

Brown is aging and hasn't been the same since the most recent lockout. Kopitar is the best all-around player on that Kings team outside *maybe* Doughty.

Not saying Kopi isn't a better all around player than Brown. I'm saying the move was political and they handeled it extremely poorly. Didn't disagree that Brown's on ice production has trickled downward. Spoken to him plenty about it, glad you can see the obvious though :thumbsup

Yikes. I hope he's okay!

Uh oh, Caps! Hold on for one more period and it's another President's Trophy! Get the banner ready!

Re: The NHL Thread (where home field advantage matters!)

If the Caps keep winning Presidents Trophies, they're not going to have room for a Stanley Cup banner.

In the past six or seven years, Claude Giroux is in the top ten overall for points. So no, you're wrong. He's actually pretty good.

So glad the Caps won the presidents trophy again :lol

It always makes me laugh when the weight of the world is on that team heading into the playoffs.

Anyone who thinks Claude Giroux isn't good (Brohan) should leave this thread. Now, as for being great... that's a different story.
