Yeah, pretty sure Hall is being paid an even 6, and is a 30-40 goal scorer. Potential to hit 50 for sure.

Oilers = continually dumb.

Next time Edmonton gets the first overall pick they should make them forfeit it.

Would also love to see the Avs take a run at Chimera. He's exactly what the Avs locker room needs.

Maybe that's the big move coming from the Avs that Mirtle tweeted.

Carchidi expects the Flyers to go after mid-level FA. He thinks Ladd, Backes and Boedker are just out of their price range but I'd love to see the Flyers go after one of those three. Would add something much-needed on the second line.

EDIT: Trading Streit would make life easier.

That is worse than the Larsson/Hall trade, ugh.

I wish it were true. Well Gabe's name was put out there earlier. I mean do teams just think "Let's see if we can trade one of our best players today."?

Yeah. I think it's one of the downsides of other teams knowing that you're desperate. Have you ever seen the movie Draft Day? GMs can be absolutely ruthless I think if they smell desperation (ahem, Chiarelli).

I sincerely doubt Sakic was seriously shopping Gabe, but it's a perfectly reasonable scenario for him to be talking to another GM and that GM seeing just how high he can go and bringing up Gabe's name.

But seriously folks, here's hoping the Avs are the proud new owners of a shiny Cam Fowler or Kevin Shattenkirk by the end of the day.

I have not seen that movie yet.

One rumor that was out before was EDM interested in Barrie and makes me wonder if that has something going on here.

That would be like when my parents took me car shopping as a teenager. I had expectations of a Land Rover and came out with a Geo Prizm.

Tomorrow I get to leave work at 3, I love the new job closing early the Friday before Memorial Day and now the 4th btw, so I hope most of the UFA's are off the board and Ken Holland can just say "oh well" by then.

Honestly, I didn't really think about it. Did Blossom to add a 2nd show but I dunno why Alpine never really jumped out to me.

Assuming TSN will stream today, and you have chrome or firefox, you can grab the hola extension which masks where you are viewing from so you can make it think you are in Canada. I'm guessing NHL.com will have the Sportsnet feed and....it's just not the same.
