I like Horton to the Jackets but 7 years with prolly a lot of $$ is crazy. But...it's Columbus. |
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
I don't know which deal is worse Horton's or Clowe's.
|
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Clowe 5 years at 4.85 and Horton 7 years at 5.3.
|
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Who signed Clowe
|
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
:lol omg what the hell
|
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
If Clowe can get $4.85 a year for 3 goals can I get like $1.4 a year for scoring 0 goals?

Isles signed Bouchard from Minn. Is that our Boyes replacement likely first line RW. Guy has a mush head, from what I remember. Upgrade if healthy. More playmaker, than scorer, I think??
|
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Clarkson must be salivating now after he saw what Clowe and Horton got.
|
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
:lol :lol :lol Devils.
Lecavalier signed for what? 4.5? Clowe is what? 4.8? :lol |
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
You know you just signed someone to a terrible contract when even Flyers fans are laughing at you.
|
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
I guess I just have to be happy CBJ is out trying to get better.
That's a lot of money though. |
I wish Horton nothing but the best that guy was Mr. Clutch during playoffs, but for that money Columbus fans will get pissed when he goes into full on float mode lol.

Clarkson signing with the Leafs for 7 years. Money to be reported as yet.
Edit; @TSNBobMcKenzie NSH agrees to 4 year, $12M deal with Viktor Stalberg. |
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Clarkson getting 7 years from the Leafs makes me feel a lot better about the Horton deal, unless the money just isn't even close.
|
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
The thing about Horton is he's 1 bad hit away from being done for good. He's had major concussion issues which makes the 7 years a bit scarier for him than Clarkson.
|
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Well technically everyone is 1 bad hit away from being done for good :lol
I hear you though, I just think from a $ standpoint it doesn't look as ridiculous based on these other contracts. |
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Pens sign Scuderi for four years/$3.375 million per year. Cool.
|
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
$5.25mil per year for Clarkson (7 years w/ the Leafs)
|
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Cap hit for Clarkson is much better than I thought it'd be. I'd take Clarkson on that deal over Clowe on his deal.

Feel good story; Rangers have signed Dominic Moore. $1m.
For those of you that forget/don't know, he left the league after his wife died early this year. Edit; This is fun @DarrenDreger I'm told the Bruins are also talking to Jarome Iginla. Good scoop. Can't make this stuff up. Edit2; wowowow, reports are that the Sens have acquired Bobby Ryan. No details as yet... |

thank god, I was really getting tired of the Ryan-Flyers rumors.

That's a big move by the Sens. Don't like him coming to division c.
As for Fil, gets to play with Stamkos so that should help him. But still Weiss is more worth that price. Fils best year he played wing with Zetterberg. |
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Is he really going to play with Stamkos over Drouin and St. Louis?

Matt Cooke to the Wild. It's a shame he's still going to be cashing NHL pay checks.

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
1 year $6 million for Iginla. Don't really mind considering the Bruins had no one else to use the cap space on. Also wont effect Bergeron's extension.

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Seriously though, putting Iginla on the left wing might be the dumbest coaching decision of all time.
Iginla will produce, no doubt about it. They'll use him correctly, because they have a legitimate coach who isn't a total moron. |

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
I like Holmgrens answer for why Emery and he said 17-1. I'm thinking the team had a little to do with that.
Also with the new playoff format good chance of Wings and Sens in playoffs...awkward. |
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Tim is just jealous that his team signed an old man in a wheelchair and a guy who played for the Florida Panthers.
|
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
If Holmgren truly signed him based off of 17-1 then Emery would be making more than $1.65 million. You took it out of context since he was joking. Here are the five questions he answered about Emery:
