Excellent, now we can congratulate the Jets for pulling out a win!

Just kidding, I was really looking forward to hearing your (plural) reaction to the final three shows and the lack of "Shotgun" and "Idea of You."

Downloading meow!

Cool, listening now.

And I gotta disagree with Jake a bit here. Dave's voice was terrible for the West Point shows. Other than that, they were pretty good tho.

Re: Ants Podcast - Episode 7

Just got finished listening, pretty good stuff. I like all the fan issues that you address plus a nice mix of insider-news!

No personal offense, of course, but I got bored during the whole "ATO" thing... I couldn't follow it at all, plus I heard some Radiohead references, but I guess I just don't get as interested as other people in record label stuff. Oh well...

I'm glad that there wasn't any West Point bashing like I've seen in some threads... They had a pretty good mix of radio stuff and fan favorites, plus they didn't repeat ALL the songs, just some of them. Plus, as was mentioned, the band had a really great time at the shows and was very gracious towards the Cadets for all they will do in the future.

My favorite part about the West Point shows was all the free stuff! I didn't know that this Pep Rally thing would have extra benefits, like a free poster (when has THAT ever happened?), a really awesome metal key chain, a free sticker, plus the free show!

Finally, just something else I remembered, I agree that the band should NOT release every show. It would definitely affect show attendance.

Oh, and one more thing... The BOWA Encore CD is the best bonus disc of them all.

Dan

P.S. Funny story about Italy! Go ants! It's weird because it's a strange thing to bring up in conversation (Hey, do you know about this website?), but I'm glad it made for a funny story.

I like the really subtle Typical Situation from Luther College in the background... I always forget how much I love that version

I agree with The Idea Of You possibly not making the next album. I actually enjoyed the experience of getting all new songs on Stand Up that were then performed live, instead of live songs that were then put on an album. I definitely do agree that Shotgun needs to be worked on intricately to be good on the next album. That's the best way to do the next album...see BTCS. I like how the Live Trax series has been done, I wouldn't like every show being available for download like they talked about.

Great show. Matt, everytime I open a show in my i-tunes the album is different. It's either Matt's Album, or Matt Yette's Album, or AntsMarching.org podcast. I change all of them to Matt Yette's Album, could you try and make them the same in the future. I know, I know I'm a lazy sob.

I hope the next Dave solo album is just Dave and his guitar.

They should work on whatever old songs they want, but also write like 9 new songs

i agree that all shows should not be released while the band is still active. However, when they are done playing and "retire" i think they should set that up so fans can but concerts that they went to, so they can still have the feeling of live shows and remembering how it felt.

i'll take a half hour out of my time to listen to you guys anytime.

Funny, informative, good stuff.

I laughed so hard at the part with Loving Wings and how everyone is just waiting for the I Dream Of Jeannie part. It's funny because it is so true!

Odd. I use GarageBand to produce the episodes - I'll have to look into how they're tagged when I export them. As you might know I've been through some computer problems recently so it's possible that with all the reformats going on, the artist information changed. I never noticed since my iTunes pulls them all in via the Podcast function and they're grouped that way. Thanks for the heads up, I'll look into it.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have 9 new songs already written.

a double disc of 11 or 10 songs on each wouldnt be so bad, but that seems like too much.
