Expect a email at 5am on April 1st, telling us the album will be available for download at 12pm.

While members of the band have acknowledged the album in various settings, I’m surprised they haven’t even teased it on social media at all. Something like these two tweets would at least generate some excitement, even if the timeline is still TBD.

Yeah, that would generate more excitement than the random pictures from previous tours that they post daily. I don't care too much about the band's social media, but they aren't any good at it. They should take a page out of Jeff's social media. He always seems to be posting about new projects.

You are truly surprised that DMB social media isn't hyping the album? That is the least surprising part of the whole thing. They are grossly incompetent on social media.

I guess surprised is the wrong word choice. I know that their social media is not very good. My point was, why talk about it publicly in random live streams (settings which are probably only consumed by the top hardcore fans), but then not put it on your social media where you have a much broader audience?

Agreed. They could and should be doing more with the album and a lot more in general.

This band’s social media is fucking terrible, it’s really honestly sad how bad it is at times. Complete lack of real engagement.

Folks - it might be time to accept the fact that there’s likely no album coming, and this is another abandoned studio session. We haven’t heard a peep about it since the fall, and this band doesn’t do surprise releases. Their studio history speaks for itself. I’d love an album as much as everyone here, but it’s not looking good.

I mean we’re just talking about why they’re marketing is so terrible and things like how their LT 55 YouTube community announcement has *checks stats* zero comments. 23 thumbs up on that post though, that’s a start!

For a band as big as DMB is it's objectively terrible, then again if they were a quarter of the size it'd still be terrible

a year off and they should have recorded an album...come tomorrow they talked up how they recorded it with people in different areas of the country in different studios with different producers. dave is 54, carter is 62.....i don't think this band considers themselves "active" anymore. its been 20 years since their heyday so they don't have the expectation / urgency of themselves to put out an album every 2-3 years.

look at another 90s giant still "around" like pearl jam...they're doing an album every 7 years now. so buckle up and get ready for spring 2025 for a new DMB album

I hope there is no new album based on how they are going downhill imo but there is zero reason for a new album now as they know 100% tickets are sold and people are gung-ho on seeing shows.
Holding an album back till after the “return tour” is a smarter idea
