Conditions on 2016 pick CHI gave to PHI: 1. If CHI wins two rounds and Timonen plays in 50 per cent or more of games, it's 2016 3rd rounder.

If CHI wins three rounds and Timonen plays in 50 per cent or more of games, it is a 2nd rounder in 2016.

If those conditions aren't met by CHI and Timonen, then PHI gets CHI's 4th round pick in 2016.

That makes a lot more sense.

I'm hearing a lot about this Sharp rumor as well, seems there's some traction there. Not sure I'm really into it, as I think the Caps will overvalue him and expect too much from him/trade away too much to get him. He's an okay player, but he's aging, past his prime, comes with almost a $6million dollar hit that has two years left on it. If the return they give the Hawks is fair and Sharp produces more 30 goal seasons, I say ok. But doing something dumb like trading Green or Johannson plus a first rounder seems way too steep to me, and you can't say for sure he'll score goals for the Caps at the same pace he has for the Hawks with any certainty. He's not exactly having a stellar year this year either. I dunno. Seems like the Caps will expect the world from a player like him, will give up a ton in a knee jerk move, and it will backfire. Maybe I'm wrong though. Who knows.

Plus with Kane out don't the Hawks need him now more than ever??

So the rumor is Sharp with Keith's wife and Kane's gf. Wtf. He will be gone asap, though not sure I'd welcome him into my locker room.

So Halak set the team record for wins last night with his 33rd. Here is the stat of the day, though. In his 17 seasons as an Islander, Billy Smith led the team in regular season starts only 5 times. Arbour always split the time. Of course , ties factored in as well.

Don't mind that trade. Gleason is an upgrade from Hillen and a 4th rounder back to Carolina is whatever. Gleason as a number 6 dman doesn't sound bad at all. I don't dislike Hillen but he's a little overmatched at the NHL level a lot of the time.
