That was an awesome fucking 65 minutes.

Need this to be the SCF.

Hate the Blackhawks, but love the rivalry. What a game. Never thought we would win, in Chicago, in a shootout. Would love a SCF between these two.

That OT is why 4on4 needs to go longer.

That game needed to go on longer. I'm dying for a Chi/Det SCF. I'd sacrifice paychecks to see that.

Tremendous OT that was. Great stuff.

:lol I mean...I can't understate how great of a hockey game that was. There was a point in the first period where Datsyuk picked Hossa's pocket, Hossa turned around and full out hustled back on the back of Datsyuk, PICKED HIS POCKET, and then sent the puck the other way for a 2-on-1 featuring Brandon Saad and Jonathan Toews.

I mean, if plays like that, where two of the best two-way forwards to ever play the game go toe-to-toe like that which leads to a 2-on-1 chance for two of the premier forwards in the league doesn't get your hockey boner going...I don't know what will.

It was incredible.

Can't lose to Edmonton.

Oh I bet they can.

It sucks the Blackhawks and Red Wings are in different conferences now.

Brohan_Santana 02-18-2015 10:44 PM

Back to back heated games between rivals. Caps/Pens and Hawks/Wings. Hockey is getting good at a good time.

Also. 0/23 in shootout and Edmonton wins? Bruins don't deserve a playoff spot

Cool story bro. Caps lost but are still in a much better position than the Bruins now. Not sure what you're getting at....

:lol What?

You said they don't deserve a playoff spot because they lost to Edmonton. The Caps have lost to Edmonton twice this year. Not sure what you're getting at.

It was great all around. Both goalies were great, Howie kept the Wings in it earlier cause I felt the Hawks had the better of the chances early. Late in the game I thought the Wings controlled a lot of it. Howard looked really good for only his 3rd game back. That's two games in a row he was solid. You could also tell he was pretty psyched to get his first shootout win of the year. At least this time, unlike against the Jets, his team got him some goals. Tatar did his best Kane impression on the winner.

I'd be ok with this as a final, but Wings need to get by Tampa and/or Montreal first and they've had trouble with them. Really hope they get some help at the deadline, as long as not much of the future is sacrificed. I think they need that little push.

Again as everyone knows, I hate shootouts in terms of being there to win a team hockey game, but I do like them from a skill standpoint. Nyquist's move, the quick fake to the backhand, was also amazing. He was able to move it so quickly to backhand and slide it in, it was amazing. Knocked Crawford right on his ass.

Yeah, this was my first thought when I read his post. Glad you pointed it out so eloquently.

He gave it the Kaner for sure. It was nasty.
