That's another reason this is so strange. Either way, tough to complain when they're winning 8 in a row. |
Re: The NHL Thread
It's not often you see 2 captains go at it. I wonder what the trigger was.

Re: The NHL Thread
I hate shootouts. Get rid of that crap.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZmBDG_KXYA The entire UC was on their feet during the whole shootout. The fans ate it up. I think all we can do is keep looking for ways to make them more rare, like making a 10 minute OT with 4 on 4 then 3 on 3 like the AHL is doing. That way shootouts are more "special" to people that seem them, etc. |
Re: The NHL Thread
Patrick Kane is fucking ridiculous.

Re: The NHL Thread
Bye bye Morin. It's a shame. Hope he shines in Columbus.

Re: The NHL Thread
pens have the worst luck with injuries. fire the medical team (again).

Re: The NHL Thread
Big fan of crushing Vancouver 5-1 lol.

Re: The NHL Thread
I hope Raanta kills it tonight, I'm starting to feel bad for the guy. The picture of him sitting along the glass last night by himself because there wasn't enough room on the bench was the cherry on top.

Also, newly aquired Tim Erixon is slotting in the 5th/6th defenseman role already, playing tonight. |
Haven't been here in a bit but chicago's new goalie is fucking sick. Keith Kincaid, dudes young and got his first start the other night, a shoot out loss. From Albany here, played for union for a year or two before heading to the pros.

That was quick.

Re: The NHL Thread
God damn Kings, get back home so we can win again.

Re: The NHL Thread
Saad is quickly turning into a superstar.

Re: The NHL Thread
Nice game by Hawks/Antti. Calgary certainly didn't play like a team that has been struggling badly.

If the kid can stay more consistent, it will be pretty damn awesome to watch. We need Bickell to turn it on a little more to drive his value up, because it's going to come down to Saad or Bickell this offseason...and if we have to lose Saad for Bickell I might self implode. |
Re: The NHL Thread
Not really Eakins fault that the team blew so badly, but someone needed to take the fall for the debacle that is the Oilers. Problems remain in that MacTavish is back behind the bench (barf!) and the continually love-in between Katz/Lowe and the rest continues. I'd say everyone needs to go but Katz isn't going to sell his team, and the odds of him firing Lowe are remote imo. I would say Messier should have a bigger role in things but that is still kind of the same ol' boys club.
Oh, and the team doesn't have any goaltending or defense. Other than that we're peachy! |

"Voynov's wife had requested that Voynov not be charged.": I always wonder what these women are thinking. Obviously, never been through anything like that but makes me wonder. ''Quite frankly, I'm beyond caring about reinstatement or cap relief,'' Lombardi said. Sometimes it better to not say anything at all. |

One of those tweets say it started at a party that night. If I'm not mistaken, the Kings halloween party was that evening. |
