I'm very impressed with everyone's play so far this season. Seems like the new team is meshing well and Laviolette's system is a hell of a lot more fun to watch.

(I so can't wait for their 2-3 game slide where most Hawks fans cry that the sky is falling, always the best)

Hawks are just saving themselves for the playoffs. They can beat most teams without trying. In the postseason they will beat the others handily. They could probably go undefeated if they really cared to.

When's the last time a team has gone undefeated in the Stanley Cup playoffs?

Sorry Brohan, you have been replaced.

Kings came close in 2012. And also, Kings are the first team in NHL history to win a Cup eliminating the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd seed in order in 2012.

Hawks are a lock for the Cup. Everyone else should probably just tank for picks unless they are looking for moral victories.

Man just thinking about the two Cup runs for the Kings. Such different paths they took each time loaded with exciting moments and amazing gameplay. I still can't believe last seasons run, so incredible.

So like 2014 was the complete opposite then, right? :lol

Guys - when the Blackhawks have Raanta as a BACKUP goalie, how can we not just give them the Cup right now??

Also, Shea Weber makes me so hard.

This morning, I see they are saying knee on Chara. How did that report last night have collarbone :lol:lol. A little different. Much better news as a fantasy owner.

Fantasy sports is weird that way. Wings losing to the Habs sucked, but Price had a damn good game and got the win so....I'd have preferred good game but a loss though.

TSN still saying 4-6 weeks. If he misses the middle of that at 5 weeks, he missed 15 games. That's almost a quarter of a season without him. They have a lot of talent but that's a big chuck without him and they already have started slow. Boychuk trade looking real bad now.

Still can't get over last nights game for the Wings. They were so bad in the first and even when they were playing better after that they couldn't get the rebounds, pucks would bounce on them, they'd pass when they should shoot, all kinds of crap not working right. Was ready to turn it off and then Z scored. Then was about to turn it off when Comeau shot it at the open net but DeKeyser blocked it. The guys doing the post-game for Fox Sports Detroit said on back to back games, it's late in that second game when it catches up to you and it seemed to. Wings turned it on and momentum carried them. Second in the Atlantic. Had they won like they should have on Tuesday, they'd be #1 but I'll take the 2 points I thought they wouldn't get.

wow, glad i stayed up for that game last night.
didn't get any pizza.

almost burned my neighborhood down when the sharks went up 4-3 and when they called Johansens would-be hat trick game winner a no goal but they got it done. big road win.

Just watched the highlights, that should have been a goal. Foligno was in there but was trying to get out and was unable to. Most of the contact Niemi had to deal with was his own guys.

yep i agree, i don't even think the ref called Toronto to review, they just huddled up.

maybe that play isn't video reviewable.

in other news, Johansen is a superstar. Maybe Overhardt had a point.

I don't think it is reviewable. That's a little more subjective. While it can be infuriating, I understand the argument about not making that reviewable because it would open the door for reviewing penalties and things like that.

ya agree, just sucks to get a call wrong like that in that part of the game.
at least they came right back and scored again.

the sharks D/goaltending situation is in rough shape.

Pretty sure you were a Sabres fan. I'm just not sure you should be making jokes about other people ditching their teams.

:lol i love how serious this is for you.
i've explained the sabres thing before.

it wasn't even a joke about ditching teams, it was a joke about buying a new hat. if your labia wasn't hanging half way down your hamstring this morning it might not have bothered you so much.

1 point through 6 games, down to 3rd line Center. Old and slow. He's basically Handzus without the terrible hair.
I have hopes that it gets better over time, once he gets used to the new system and all.
