Sounds like Wings might use their last buyout on Tootoo. Not surprised really and that would be cool of them. He can play a nice 4th line role still, just it didn't work out here. Wish it could have.

LOL. So if his salary was a line graph, it would start low and spike when he was in Washington and then go back down and now as he gets older....goes up again.

You guys are funny. $6m for one year is not that much considering he was the team's leading scorer. Very little risk involved and they have a ton of cap space.

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread

6M is a lot for a 42 year old regardless of what he did this year. especially since his deal this year was 2m with 2m bonus for games played. if it's 5 or 6 mil before bonuses that's a lot.

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread

They have some cap space, but they are also over-spenders on vets and could find themselves in trouble. They're forcing themselves to be top heavy. Zajac is making 5.75 mil, Elias 5.5, Clowe 4.8, Zubrus 3.1. Hell, they took on Ruuttu's 3.8 as well. Those are just crazy numbers for guys like that. Travis Zajac makes more than Duncan Keith. Jagr will be making just a couple bucks less (to him) than Kane and Toews.

Good on these vets for getting paid, but sheesh.

Typical NYR. Can't close out series in under 7. Flyers have a great chance to win this series now. I am just glad we made the playoffs, but the Rangers are not a very good team. Even if we win game seven we won't beat the Pens. Team is exactly what I said it is all season, a first-second round knock out that will never win a cup with the current roster. Honestly, the east is shit and we are not even one of the better teams in the conference.

I still hope they move on because I would like to be able to watch a game this playoffs.

Edit: I also have 2 exams on Thursday so I will also not be watching game seven.

Why would you pick them? They have never shown an ability to beat the Pens. I like them to beat the Flyers too....although I won't be surprised that on one day rest if Philly just dominates again. But seriously, how can anyone who has followed the rangers expect them to beat the Pens??

Hank could steal that series. Pens rely on blue line mistakes, I think the rags won't make many and they can generate enough shots towards Fleury to get him rattled. Ultimately I have no idea though.

Don't be dumb.

Second good game the Flyers played this series. They need to come out the exact same way to have a chance tomorrow. No way that they're favored in a game seven on the road.

That said, IF the Flyers move on, I definitely like their chances against the Pens.

They didn't come out all too strong. 9 giveaways to the Rangers 2. Mason played lights out in the 1st to keep the Flyers lead. They did have more energy it seemed, just a lot of mistakes. I like their chances tomorrow night

Maybe if you actually read the story, you'd know that some kid in a Rangers jersey was causing problems all night, and then hit a Flyers fan while resisting security's attempts to remove him, which started the whole thing, and then after starting the whole thing he ran away, leaving his friends to deal with the aftermath.

Either way, shit like this happens in every city. Don't be fucking ignorant.

EDIT: Sorry Sarah - directed at Brohan. :lol

:lol I figured. As much as I'd love to rip on Flyers fans, I used common sense. It's idiotic on all parties involved and this can (and has) happened at sporting events in most cities (if not all).

There aren't many guys I like on the Flyers, but damned if I don't love the way that team plays hockey.
