I like Buddy on LIOG a lot. I think Tim is okay but hearing him out the gate is just a little too odd

I actually love the organ here. But I think he could mix it up and do piano at times too.

He’s got the chops, I just wonder if he’s told to keep it funky as opposed to mellow

Listen to the crowd singing every word. You underestimate how many hardcore DMB fans are in a given crowd. Recently is a pretty obscure song.

Most likely because they realized LIOG is already available on Youtube because the N2 show was live streamed.

Decent version. Beats anything off CT.

Carter is playing pretty lazy which is sad because he shines on Recently, but that's sort of the new (old) Carter.

Buddy actually sounds freaking awesome, can't believe I'm saying that.

The video quality of this version is probably the best I've seen in the series.

I think lots of posters on here vastly underestimate the amount of songs fans that are more 'casual' than us, but not super 'casual' know. Doesn't necessarily have to be 'hardcores' like this board. It's why stuff like the last stop can come back and everyone goes apeshit at a show. That was a song of a major, revered album, there's a chance a lot of people are going to know it. It also rocks live, even for someone who may not know it.

Recently has been a staple for years and checks all the same boxes I just said outside of the major album thing. Many would enjoy these even if they didn't know them because they are great live. It's not shocking at all that this happens to me. Everyone gets blinded by their own confirmation bias too. "This was said on the family," "the guy behind me at the show said this stupid thing," and then conclusions get drawn.

Also I wish Sirus mixes sounded even half as good as these warmup videos have always sounded. The difference is amazing.

They're just not "weird creepy internet people" fans.

This is perhaps the best mix with Buddy to date. Sounds sufficiently loud and full and Tim and Buddy come through perfectly clear without overpowering Dave's riff which is something that would often happen when they were amplifying Tim to an unnatural level to mask something weird Boyd was doing...Dave's acoustic would often get buried. Wonderful performance.
