LeRoi will always define in my book how a saxophone should be played.

Never got to see you in concert Roi, but your music will live with me forever.

Re: R.I.P. Leroi Moore.

the thing that i will always remember after Leroi is the outpouring of support from other artists who had never been attached or connected to DMB doing tributes to Leroi during their shows. I think that is the true example of how much Lerois playing touched other people and how much he is respected.

You mean 2007? They didn't play Piedmont in 2009, right?

For the most part, very nice show. A couple of clinkers in my opinion (Bayou, Corn Bread) but for the most part very nice set / show. The rare (during that tour) WWYS, Dreaming Tree, and Melissa w/ Gregg make it especially nice.

I've kinda drifted away from DMB since Roi died. The music makes me cry. I kinda have a kinship with the sax, so it still hurts. Trying to get past it still.

RIP Leroi

you're an idiot. All due respect to Roi, but he can't even touch Clarence Clemons.

leroi won a grammy in 1996.

No, because Leroi should have been mentioned, and it's a shame that he wasn't. To say that because Clarence got mentioned, it's even more absurb that roi didn't get mentioned is what is stupid. Had Whitney Houston not died yesterday, Clarence would have been the primary focus of the people who died over the past year, and the E Street Band was going to play a tribute to Clarence where Jennifer Hudson did the Whitney Houston tribute. Clarence Clemons is an icon in the music industry. Comparing Roi to Clarence is foolish, that's what is stupid

that, and the fact that this has been, and is still, beaten to death every year. I'm just as upset as the next guy that Roi was skipped over, but after the 3rd year it's about time to hang up that argument.

Another tour announced, another chance to miss you even more acutely for a few hours at a time. But the happiness you gave me and still give me every day is something I wouldn't trade for anything. :leroi
