DaveTabs.com | Updated and accurate DMB guitar tablature

Hey all! We couldn’t be more thrilled with how effective the site has been thus far. There is an ever increasing base of both returning and new users. Many new players are still discovering the site and can’t believe that they hadn’t known about it all this time. As we have put in such a great deal of time and energy, we couldn’t be more thrilled about all of this.

Remember, our original intent was to put together an updated site that would be useful for learning DMB on guitar. DaveTabs has certainly achieved that goal and is rolling right on ahead. We see no end in sight for the increase in usage nor in our effort and are excited for good things to come.

We have integrated several useful features which will continue to be improved to make sure we all have the best experience. Go ahead and get connected with DaveTabs using some of these features, which include the:

Twitter - @DaveTabs

Facebook page

Forum

We are always making small and large updates to tablature and the site itself to make it better. At any one time, we have a whole list of updates which we continue to implement on a rolling basis. Many of these improvements are pointed out or suggested by you guys. So, please keep on letting us know if you have any suggestions for the site.

As always, we want to say thank you to everyone who uses the site for their guitar learning and playing. From the start, we were happy to just put together an updated site that could be useful for learning DMB on guitar. It’s so great to see that so many others are using it and really enjoying it. We look forward to the opportunity to continue the betterment of the DMB guitar playing experience, through DaveTabs!

The site has been given a whole new look! Along with the new look comes a bunch of updates and improvements. Having been up for almost two years now, we felt it was time to do a re-design using what we’ve learned would provide a better experience. While it took some work, overall the new site should be easier to use and more visually appealing. In case you're wondering, aside from the major design changes, here are some of the content improvements that have been made:

- Lyrics now available for every song
- Helpful videos added to all songs where any were available. Some past videos switched for more helpful ones.
- Site will be easier to use and work better using a mobile phone/tablet or other devices
- Option to browse for songs by what’s currently popular
- Ability to listen to the studio version of each song as a reference

What’s coming soon:
- More interesting ways to browse for songs (by tuning, etc.)
- A working and active Forum
- Tons of smaller updates

We hope you enjoy the new DaveTabs!

Holy shit thank you so much for this!

Since dmbtabs.com has been abandoned, I've really been dying for something like this. Again, thank you.

The Summer tour is rolling right along! In the midst of the warm weather, there are a few updates we would like to mention.

The new musicians forum is up and running at its new url location: forum.davetabs.com. This tool should be a great asset for all DMB community musicians. Working together, everyone should be able to get support they need to help improve their playing and increase their musical knowledge. We’re hoping to see a vibrant and responsive musicians forum come alive there.

We have created a DaveTabs Store: store.davetabs.com. We are excited to have put together this way for people to support the site. Especially since this way puts some fun merch in your hands for being a supporter. Of course, every purchase directly helps the site to stay active well into the future so please check it out!

Enjoy the Summer tour!

Traffic just wasn't enough for how much having a forum adds to the cost of the site. :shrug There's nothing wrong with the good ole Ants Musician Discussion anyways!

Hi you all on here, I am hoping for your opinions way beyond what I cannot contribute today. I am an older fan, my daughter got me back into the band in 2000. She is getting married in September in a non formal church setting along the beach in Oregon. I am just a strummer on a guitar, but I thought it might be cool to learn #41, Crush & maybe some other love song. I am planning on taking lessons the next almost 4 months, can you point me somewhere to learn the tabs somewhere on the intwebs?

if you're looking for just dave tabs, honestly davetabs.com is going to be your best place. the tabs are all very, very accurate and on most there is a link to a video of dave playing them to give you something to follow along with as you get them down.

4 of the 14 Come Tomorrow songs are accurately tabbed on the site already (thanks to years of live performances of such songs):

Samurai Cop
Can't Stop
Idea of You
Black and Blue Bird

We'll be continuing to add each of the remaining Come Tomorrow songs as soon as we can accurately tab them!

Am I missing something? That tab doesn't look right at all. I don't see him playing that at all in the video from Atlanta. I'm seeing C, F, Am, G for the verse. Or am I completely wrong?

It seems that the tab is the core riff-

But live ya it looks like dave is just hammering the chords when playing it, either way really works

You are actually both correct in some way. If you look at the root notes in the tab, they are in fact C, F, A, and G. Although Dave tends to put his fingers on the strings in the same formation as the full C, F, Am and G chords, he does not strum the full chords (although during the jam he comes closer to full strumming). He is actually focusing on playing certain notes (root notes and the hammer-on), so there's more to it than there may seem on a first look.

Also, there is a consistent hammer-on on the D string (0h2). The way Dave plays it, it looks like he is fully hammering each chord (C, F, Am and G) on and off, but it is mostly the D string that is focused on for the hammer. Tim is also very much focusing on playing this hammer, so the sounds of both guitars can mesh together making it harder to distinguish who is playing what exactly. Hope this helps clear things up!

The Bridge to Idea of You is incorrect.

Come Tomorrow is on the raised b... starts on a D, brief strum on a G chord (both verse and chorus).

Pre-Chorus is very similar to the "I'll ring the bell" portion of Beach Ball but goes back down to an Em on the raised b and back into the chorus.

Bridge: B or Em and then 3-2-0-4-3-0 then back to Em
