I've been to 100's of Hawks games, but the Masters...If this weren't a regular season game against the Wild without Toews then maybe it would be a consideration. If it were a WCF/SCF game then no way am I missing that for golf.

Mike (bonzo) will be attending in my place. So there will be someone there at the UC from this thread.

I watched highlights on NHL.com of that game....and it seemed like the Wings had a ton of good chances. Literally Nashville scored every time they were shown in offensive end in that highlight reel. Seemed like Wings had 5-6 great chances in 1st and 2nd period but Rinne just came up huge. That stop on Zetterberg was ridiculous.

Nashville are so opportunistic, it's so annoying. They are perfectly content to play in the d zone for long stretches, get heavily out-shot, and then capitalize on your every mistake.

Also, looks like we might be headed for a rd1 rematch of Rangers/Caps, with positions switched. That should be interesting.

Hell of a period of hockey. 16 - 12 shots, Hawks. That's crazy for a game against Nashville this early. Super up tempo, Crawford & Rinne both made a couple great stops. That pile up in front of the Hawks' net after Crawford made that nasty glove save was awesome.

Great game overall tonight. Crawford was as solid as you can imagine from a 4 goal performance. Incredible pass from #Shawfacts to Seabs to set up that GWG. This team is playing with a swagger walking into the playoffs, and we don't even have 19 and 2. I love it.

Really, man. We were playing a red hot Nashville team, with a newly acquired offensive machine in Radulov and played a solid 60 minutes against them and came away with our first regulation win against them WITHOUT our best forward and our best defenseman. What is there to complain about?

Posts like yours are embarrassing. The Hawks have the best win% in the NHL in the month of March, and idiots like you come in here and say they are horrible. This team is clicking in so many ways.

There's nothing we could do about a couple of those goals. Radulov undressed Seabrook on one of them, hats off to him. Shea Weber had 2 goals, neither of which we could really do anything about. Oduya had one bad turnover, and we can't take stupid penalties. That's all that really needs "fixing" from tonight's game.

The Hawks are FAR from "horrible". We're clearly lacking a lot without Toews, and yet we're still winning games, and are somehow 1 point out of 4th in an insanely talented and hectic Western Conference. This team is playing great hockey right now.

Am I a Kitchen fan? No. But seriously, who gives a fuck right now. If Toews were healthy and we were fighting for a playoff spot (like last year), then I'd be saying the same thing. But we're about to have a 100 point season that has been injury plagued. Sharp, Toews, Hossa, Kane, etc. all missed time. Role guys have missed time. Duncs had to serve a 5 game suspension. Yet somehow, reports around the league are coming out (there's a Melrose video out there somewhere) that GMs are talking, and the Blackhawks are the #1 team out of the West NO ONE wants to see.

Oh, but yeah, we're "horrible" :rolleyes

For those of you that didn't see Radulov's goal...

Guy makes Nashville so scary. Everyone kept talking about how they didn't have that offensive force. Well...now they do. Guy is the real deal. I don't want to see them in the playoffs. Seemed like every shift he had, his line had the puck in the offensive zone for at least 30-45 seconds. It was insane.

Yeah, at this point it looks like it was an over-reaction. Certainly. Still think this team has underperformed. Yes there have been some injuries. BUT.....Hawks shouldn't have let Nashville back into this game.

They've allowed so, so many shots to get through from the point this year, and again 3 more tonight. The problem I have with Q's "sticks in lanes" system showed up on all four goals. If you are going to allow guys to set up shop in front of your goaltender (which is pretty tough to prevent without drawing interference penalties all night) and you aren't going to get out to challenge the shooters, eventually pucks are going to find their way through, and there's nothing the goaltender can do but hope it hits him. And then on Radulov's goal, Seabrook & SOD don't think to try to take the body....instead they just put their sticks out feebly.

BUT, the Hawks have played very good hockey lately. Coming together without Toews & Keith is huge and it's really encouraging. They have limited opposing teams' chances, and making smart decisions with the puck. Crawford made a handful of outstanding stops tonight. Sharp & Stalberg look to be peaking at right time. Love seeing Bolland pot one.

4th is fine. But if you miss out on 4th and draw Nashville in 1st round, Hawks could be in for a world of trouble. Like you said, Radulov is a beast. That guy is immediately their best offensive player and he looked really good tonight. They have a ton of depth, a great G, 2 of the best d-men in NHL, and some serious drive. It was on display tonight. But I certainly don't want to see them just throw away rest of games. Would much rather see them pass 100 pts again this year and get home ice.

The first 3 spots are for the division winners, then after that you start piling in everyone else by their point totals.

This. Pittsburgh and Philly are both ahead of Boston and Florida points-wise. But the reward for winning the division is one of the top 3 seeds.

Another reason IMO why realignment would be nice. Though there are pros and cons with both.

With next 2 against Minnesota it's hard to see Hawks getting anything less than 2-3 points, may be setting up for a first round series with Nashville that would be hard to look forward too. If Toews comes back Satuday that's great but fans can't expect him to just jump right into game action at 100 percent. His presence back helps for sure but I for one am still gonna be holding my breath everytime he gets nudged.

Asham attacks Schenn when he's wrapped up with another guy and Bylsma sends out his 4th line with Engelland at the end of the game.

Pens have had the best player in the league for basically the last 30 years. Flyers have had a bunch of asshats and the fans to go with it.
