SiriusXM Channel 142
 

Starting Saturday at 11 pm ET, Channel 142 will be Dave Matthews Band Radio. They'll begin by airing Saturday's concert at the Gorge live. The channel will be DMB exclusive until Sept. 30.

SiriusXM said this is the first time DMB has had an exclusive channel, but I'm pretty sure there was one a few years back.

Yeah they did a similar thing leading up to the release of BW, had a week long channel of DMB with interviews and such. Pretty cool. I like that they are doing a live broadcast from the Gorge though - nice!

Someone on TDC brought up an interesting point: could this be why DMBStream was shut down, especially if this station is going to stream a bunch of random live shows like the Dead station and even more especially if there are plans to make this station permanent?

I'm traveling a lot in September, which will require a good bit of driving. This will be a nice companion for the month. Hope the Gorge shows slay.

All DMB Stream did was download shows uploaded to sites like Dreamingtree and then stream them. It wasn't capturing anything.
