I honestly can't remember the last time the Wings won in a shootout. Wish Reimer would have been left in. He was making the Griffins look real good in the first.

Have we talked about how completely ridiculous shootouts are yet? The Hawks have had shootouts go 11 and 8 rounds deep recently. Really makes sense to have two teams that played equal hockey for 65 minutes decide the game by the skills of a goalie vs. a 3rd line winger on a break.

Going to the Kings game tonight. First game I've gone to in almost a month (last game was November 30th). Not sure who all knows in here but my lady friend was diagnosed with a brain tumor in the middle of November and since then we obviously haven't gone to games. She just had brain surgery on December 10th. So, this is her first game since then, still can't believe she is going to a game so soon! But, then again, she was home two days after the surgery. Doubt we will stay the whole game but we are both excited to get back to our regular lives of attending hockey games!

The depth the Bruins have is insane. I hope Spooner earns a full time spot on the club, he's so good.

Oh and I left out my favorite stat of the night: John Scott had around 8:30 of ice time last night, including 1:45 on the powerplay. The Sabres had 5 players out with the flu, so we only dressed 16 skaters, and to top it off Stafford got ejected for an elbow. I believe Scott was paired with Ott and Moulson.
