Know what you mean, it is far easier when one team in a conference final is a bunch of jerks. In this case I have nothing at all against Tampa or Washington. I hope Washington wins their first cup but if TB knocked them out and went to the finals I would be cheering for the Bolts.

There really aren't any terrible seats in that building. Hell even the last row of the upper deck has a great view.

The Caps/Penns series is going to be very intriguing for sure. Pittsburg def has the speed that can kill the Caps, if the series turns into a track meet I think the Caps are doomed.

I think the deciding factor of the series will be Caps PK vs Penns PP. Penns PP certainly heating up and Caps had the best or second best PK in the league all season.

Caps/Penns breakdown in my eyes;

Forwards: Even; if I have to give slight advantage it goes to Wash
Dman: Even; if I have to give a slight advantage it goes to Pittsburg
PP: Even
PK: Advantage Washington
Coaching: Adavantage Washington
Goaltending: Advantage Washington
That 'IT' factor: Advantage Pittsburg :mad

If Orpik is back at any point the Dman advantage switches too Washington

So are we dropping the H off the end of Pittsburg AND adding an extra N to Penns? I am down

Good luck to you Barbs! I'm rooting so hard against your team. Who doesn't love the playoffs?!

Pens have been killing it since HCMS took over, but the Caps have been great all year. This is Goliath v. Goliath. Let's all sit back and enjoy it.

Good luck to you too. I no longer like you until the series concludes.

I followed Climb's lead on the extra N even though he apologized for it (which was not necessary as it's awesome and I enjoy calling them the Penns). Missed where we started the H dropping.

I've now seen an unconfirmed rumor that it might be back to back matinees over the weekend to start the series

That would be extra dumb

NY media wanted him benched for McIlrath/Skjei/Hayes/etc. before the all-star break.

Love the fact that the Rangers are slowly going downhill after this season. This year was their last year at contending, IMO. Their window is now shut. They still may have Captain America, the King, Stepan, and others. But they literally have no draft picks or high end prospects in the system.

Re: The NHL Thread

The extra n is for nancies.

Pittsburgh has curbed my playoff hopes year after year and single handedly ruined the 90s for me.

Other than beating Detroit in the finals a win in this series might be the biggest series win in franchise history. It's an opportunity to soothe so much pain from the past.

I'd rather a win in this series than a playoffs win vs. the Cowboys.
