Hopefully he is saving for a quality headset too. Not sure I can deal with Matt the hurricane for another EASHL season.

hopefully he has cleaned up his Fluery-esque goaltending skills as well

:lol Fluery definitely loves to leave the net. Not to go to the door to get the pizza like Matt but he definitely leaves the net.

No, actually.

So give our boy Chad your thoughts on Laviolette as a coach since he's the new Preds bench boss.

Chad-- re: Laviolette

Great coach, but he's got a short shelf life. The players have to buy in his system, which is offensive-oriented and very aggressive forechecking. He expects defensemen to pinch as well, which if the defensemen are slow, will certainly mean odd-man rushes. Offensively, if the Preds have the players--they can make some noise cause their defense is sound.

He's also tough on the players as well. Very demanding. Something that Nashville needs to get to the next level.

I don't plan on getting a bone, so Ricky can blow a sigh of relief.

I don't know if you guys saw the story or not, but Hawks defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson took a puck to the throat last game. He's currently unable to speak because of the injury.

He didn't miss a shift, and is playing tonight, probably won't be able to fully speak for a couple weeks.

yeah, and this is one of the many reasons Chicago should be hoisting the Stanley Cup in a few weeks.

what a badass.

Wow that Habs intro is insane. It started with dubstep music and ended with what felt like a scene from the Hunger Games.

I didn't see today's, was it the same as the opening for last series? If so, it's completely insane.

Bruins look neutered out there, afraid to do anything. Let the dogs off the chain!

Yeah it was the same one, it's pretty bizarre but cool at the same time lol.

bonzo48280 05-06-2014 06:10 PM

Leddy and Morin scratched for Bollig and Brookbank! Wooooo

HallowBillies7 05-06-2014 06:31 PM

Nice hit by Soderberg on Price lol what a dumb penalty to take.

rickyh24 05-06-2014 06:39 PM

Hard to come back when the refs are letting the habs get away with everything. How is hooking not called there?

Cause it's Montreal.

HallowBillies7 05-06-2014 07:00 PM

So shouldn't Subban hitting the net off been a penalty shot? Or am I just an idiot?

bonzo48280 05-06-2014 08:40 PM

Well that was awful. Good because there's a lot the hawks should be doing differently. Hopefully some things change.

skwormin 05-06-2014 08:44 PM

Fuck that shot.

skwormin 05-06-2014 08:45 PM

I didn't watch it but guessing it's similar to what they usually do. It's fantastic. Probably the best in the NHL. They all do cool things now, they used to not do a whole lot but that was ok too, but the Habs have the coolest one I think.
