Everything is hard to listen to for me. :(

Today is going to be a D&T kind of day for me. I don't know when I'll be ready to listen to full band again.

Good Lord, if I had the means, (and no credit card debt), I'd be on a plane right now headed for LA. Instead, I sit here at work, not knowing what to do, what to say, or what to think. I want to talk about it to someone, but no one here would understand.

So, I sit here. I read these messages. I listen to his music. My heart fills full up. God Bless You 'Roi.

I'm putting a whole bunch of DMB songs at the top of my myspace playlist today. The best ones I can think of that show off Roi. I'm still feeling very weird.

Thank you Roi for being such a huge part of my life for the last 15 years. This band, and your immense contribution to it, has meant so much to me and countless others. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Re: R.I.P. Leroi Moore.

I remember the first time I ever heard leroi play. I was completely blown away - I had never heard music that transported me in quite the same way. There is alot of beauty in the way leroi captured the moment...I could just close my eyes and drift away - I also feel a profound sense of sadness but I also feel such enormous gratitude for the way leroi shaped music in my life. Dave Matthews Band would not be what it is today without leroi's brillance. He has always been bigger and stronger than his flesh - his music is proof. He led a good life, a life many dream of and I am glad he was chosen to do so...I am so blessed to be apart of that, to have experienced it. We are more than just the skin on our bones or the blood that runs through - we are beyond this flesh, we are spirit, we are soul, we are eternal. You are beautiful leroi, thank you for sharing your gift with this world.

Me to, but I am making it a DMB listening day anyway. I think I took for granted his contribution to this band before, and now I feel really bad that only now I am really noticing how amazing he was........

Re: R.I.P. Leroi Moore.

There is "so much to say" about the way LeRoi's music has touched my soul in a way no other musician has. Along with Dave and the rest of the band, listening to them everyday got me through some really hard times in my life. I guess one of my favorite solos is when Roi electrified "Crush" during The Central Park Concert. Hearing his perfect sax solo come in midway through the song will always bring a smile to my face.
Now dressed in black, I try not to be sad, but to celebrate... "And celebrate we will." :rolleyes

Ancient Egyptians believed that upon death they would be asked two questions and their answers would determine whether they could continue their journey in the afterlife. The first question was, "Did you bring joy?" The second was, "Did you find joy?"

I love you you LeRoi, God Bless your family. YOU BROUGHT ME JOY!

I'm trying to convince myself everything is going to be alright, but I just know deep down inside that this band will never be the same again. Just knowing that those smooth sax parts will no longer be there, it just sickens me. I wish I could put this all in words but I just can't.

Re: R.I.P. Leroi Moore.

Wow I can;t believe Roi is gone...I thought you would get better and you would be back better then ever in 09. As I think back it was truly an honor to share in the wonderful music he helped influence and create. I don't think I'll ever feel the same a DMB show ever again cause DMB will always be one short stage left no matter what. Thankfully we have some many wonderful recordings (both studio and live) to remember you and your music by. Hopefully the rumors of the music being finished for the new album are true so that for one last time that sax will roar DMB into the future. RIP Roi...we all love you and will miss you more than any of us probly relieze right now. Let's all pray for Roi and his family and For Dave, Carter, Boyd, and Stefan as they all heal and try to move on.

absolutly surreal..i got to meet Leroi 5 years ago in Indy. A 5 minute conversation i will always cherish. I'm scared what this might mean for the band and their future, but i understand the weight of the situation. Leroi put this band together..thank you sooo much for blessing us with your smooth style Mr Moore...you have touched more people than you'll ever imagine...rest in peace Leroi...

Words just don't do it my friends. I still can't believe it. The music is tough to listen to, but it helps.

Roi my friend, take it easy. You were one hell of a stand up guy.

My thoughts are with the band and family.

Rest in peace.

So very very sad.

And a shock, even after wondering all this time how he was doing. I thought he surely was getting stronger.

I hope his family and friends can feel the love from all his fans and get some kind of strength from it.

Re: R.I.P. Leroi Moore.

I'm listening to the Last Stop reprise from LT6 and it is probably the saddest thing ever to listen to, its what I picture God saying to LeRoi as he passed through those pearly gates to the amphitheater in the sky.

"Come in from the cold for awhile
Everything will be alright
Leave your troubles outside
You can always stay with me tonight
Its alright, everything will be alright
Come in from the noise for awhile
It will be alright, it will be alright
Come Home"

RIP ROI

I am still in shock. I just found out and cannot wrap my head around this. LeRoi was one of my favorites, still is. His friendliness and musicianship will always be remembered.

I do not have words to describe my feelings right now.

Does anyone know what will happen with the tour now. Are they cancelling the rest of the show. I know LeRoi would not want the band to stop making music and bringing joy to so many. He would want them to stay strong and keep doing what he loved. He will always be on stage with them, lifting them up to new heights.

Re: R.I.P. Leroi Moore.

I was completely shocked and overwhelmed with emotion when I heard the news. I called my sister, my mom, my two cousins, ...all of the DMB fans that I know.

Thank you for 14 years of beautiful music, Leroi. I will miss you every time I listen to DMB, which is very often.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of Leroi's family and friends, especially his band members. I can only imagine the emptiness that you are feeling.
