Hey NHL Thread family,

It was such a pleasure to spend the last 10+ years shit talking hockey with you all. I genuinely had fun logging into to this thread to talk shit, especially during the playoffs

Yesterday was the 2 year anniversary of the Caps 2018 playoff run & 6/7 will forever be a date engraved into my memory. Ovechkins Gordie Howe hat rick will forever be the greatest :lol :lol

I appreciate the memories spent in this thread trash talking. It was truly a love/hate relationship :lol :lol :lol

I have a couple of your contact information outside of this thread & I will continue to be in touch :heart

I wish everyone else nothing more than the best in your personal lives!

All the best,

Ryan

Not so sure man. Brohan engaged in the inner fan in all of us. You can’t have faces without heels. #brohan1519

This is about Brohan having his drama queen moment that we see so often when someone announces on Facebook that they are leaving social media and offer some sappy reason trying to get people to feel bad for them. Then 9 times out of 10 they are back a few days later.

Look, I left ants twice. Once for a few years. I never made an announcement about it :lol

Edit: unless I am missing something about this. Full sympathy if he is going through some life changing or ending thing.

You are just sad because there will be one less Caps fan. I bet he is back at some point.

He swan songed in the Prompter. Had his feelings hurt too many times. Oh well.

:lol I was just being funny. Well, trying anyway :cool

I have no idea what’s up with our man. Seems like a weird move considering this thread has been dead for months, to come in out of the blue just to say goodbye. I mean, none of us had talked with each other in weeks or more now. I’ve communicated with him only a handful of times outside of this forum and really that only happened because the Caps won. I know he can be obnoxious but actually I do think that’s a good thing for this thread. I don’t read the politics thread, i guess he’s pretty active in there? Bad takes in the hockey thread are fine and productive even but in a politics thread that’s not really the deal. If he acts in there like he does in here, yeah I’m not surprised it didn’t go well for him

Devils, Flyers, and Sixers fans, what can you tell me about Josh Harris and David Blitzer? They're looking to buy the Mets.

Re: The NHL Thread

I think he's alright. He's an owner. He isn't a horrible person from my estimate, so that's a plus!

What the heck? I know this virus has us all on edge but this is surprising man. We have a pretty tight knick group of posters in here and it seemed to me that you enjoyed it. Sure we all talked smack a bit and had some fun here and there but it was blowing off steam, taunting or talking smack for the most part - none of it was intended as malicious to other posters. It will be different without you. I regret if the small spat you and I had a few years ago played any part in this.

No, he was being a total ass in the politics thread and decided to swan song. Don't get bent out of shape over him peaceing out.

Re: The NHL Thread

Nah, not bent out of shape, surprised is more accurate. Have not been in here much lately mainly because even the media is struggling to give us NHL stuff to chat about.

We admit, sometimes wearing a mask in public isn't the most fashionable or comfortable choice. But some people wear Leafs jerseys, so yeah. Just saying.

just award the Cup to the Flyers already, cowards

Re: The NHL Thread

LA gets the #2 pick for our big Kings fan, but the crazy thing is that a team in the play in playoffs is going to get the #1 pick!

I read that the NY Rangers could win the Cup and get the #1 pick since they have Carolina’s pick. Note I have not fact checked that.

I didn't actually think of that. I guess they are committed to having the playoffs no matter what, even if that is a year from now. :lol

Can't really blame them. Also not like fans could go, so it doesn't really impact us.

I know it's just sad. Plus I have family in Vegas so if they can't hockey there it means the situation isn't good.

If Edmonton really is one of the hub cities, it was all because of this video.

Re: The NHL Thread

Lot of guys who got injured and were 'out for the season' are suddenly in the picture and that may change some odds. Just on my Hawks I am looking at potentially getting Brent Seabrook and Calvin DeHaan back to face the Oilers. Adding 2 top 4 D men would be a big help in depth. Course I have a backup goalie who has never suited up for the Hawks so who the hell knows!
