Re: The NHL Thread (where the Presidents Trophy matters!)
Pens stressing me out. Phil needed that goal. He was super frustrated.

And stop it with the injuries! They are down their top 3 D-men! |
Re: The NHL Thread (where the Presidents Trophy matters!)
Pens absolutely dominated 2nd and 3rd. Just keep playing the same way.
Sens didn't even try to generate shots, went nearly 20 minutes without one. Only had 3 in the 3rd. Really impressed with Kunitz and Rubwedel's play on both ends tonight. Pens forecheck was relentless. |
Re: The NHL Thread (where the Presidents Trophy matters!)
Pens won a 1-0 game. With all the offense they have and all the injuries. What a world we live in.

Re: The NHL Thread (where the Presidents Trophy matters!)
This Pens/Sens series is going to get absolutely intense going forward. It showed all game last night.
And man, I watch Kessel and it reminds me how much I miss having a player like that on the Flyers. Hartnell was that energy/leader guy and he was a big part of their success. Quote:

Love angry Phil.

Re: The NHL Thread (where the Presidents Trophy matters!)
Steve Mears is leaving NHL network to join Penguins as color broadcaster, and Paul Steigerwald is stepping down to go back into marketing for the Pens.

Wow!
I've always missed Mike Lange on the TV broadcasts. |

I love that Benstonium syncs his goal calls to video after each game. |

One of the drawbacks of HD/Satellite/Streaming is the delay between TV and radio. Real yinzers back in the day put the tv on mute and turned up the radio. :lol |

I knew I never liked Steve Mears
|
Re: The NHL Thread (where the Presidents Trophy matters!)
so they're getting an entire new broadcast team then? that would be good because errey is awful
|
Re: The NHL Thread (where the Presidents Trophy matters!)
Mears is doing pbp. Errey still on commentary.

EDIT: this could be wrong, was looking at a forward-looking press release dated friday---maybe he had some kind of emergency or health thing? |

I didn't think Doc did Pens-Sens game 1. |
Re: The NHL Thread (where the Presidents Trophy matters!)
