I mean, hockey night in Canada was "a big promo" so that's unlikely, IMO.

Anyways, glad to see the caps playing as well as the Rangers.

Pennnnnnnssss!!!

Thanks. And I mean it's cool. It is what it is I guess. It's one of those things though where at this point it's not like I can pick another team. I know I seem really pessimistic all the time but it's really only because I care so much.

Seems premature. Hank gave up 3/18. No need to pull holtby.

Ok. I'm out

At Crombie: it was a wake up call from Trotz. Clearly, didn't work.

Have fun guys

I love McDavid, but this is still Crosby's league. Lord, he's awesome.

Hence why I do not bet on things where I have absolutely no influence on the outcome like a game of pool or horseshoes! :lol

Honestly never thought it'd be 2-0. Maf has been huge.

Didn't say anything about Hank. I'm just talking about Holtby. It was the right move to pull him.

I genuinely know how you feel. I mellowed out about things for different reasons but I know this hurt all too well.

Rough loss for the Rangers, but that's hockey for ya. It's just a game.

Didn't actually see any of the game because I was at a funeral all day for my fiancée's high school friend who died after a two year long battle with cancer. He was only 35. It was a somber and sobering day and it definitely put things in perspective. Absslutely no way a loss in a game was going impact me when compared to the scene I was in yesterday. Getting over the Rangers is easy, lossing someone is real and actually hard.

I'll try to re-engage in hockey again, but it definitely doesn't feel as vital as it did a few days ago.

Anyway, I think the Rangers could come back and tie the series, but my gut feeling says they are done. And that is okay because I think my prediction about the Pens repeating is looking stronger.

Damn Caps. Hope they don't get swept. Same with the Rags. How weird would it be if it was Sens vs Oilers in the SC

Sorry you had to go through that.

And yeah, I think your pick of the Pens repeating might be correct.

Only the Caps can out attempt a team 88-44 in the playoffs and lose 6-2

Fleury has improved his stock so much. Gonna be a bummer when the Knights select him. Despite Murray being injury prone, Pens will probably protect him

It's rare that goalies make the difference so dramatically as they did last night.

Murray is the future. It doesnt make sense to keep a 32 year old over a 22 year old. The knights cant select fleury, maf would have to waive his nmc. We'll see what happens.

Yeah, in a year where Dubnyk and Crawford took first round dumps. Lundqvist and Allen are hit or miss, Rhinne, Holtby, Anderson and Gibson are playing damn good but have shown vulnerability I think MAF and Talbot are the 2 hottest goalies in the NHL right now.

TheLastPig 04-30-2017 10:26 AM

Re: The NHL Thread (where the Presidents Trophy matters!)

Can't believe that outcome last night. MAF was huge in the 1st period, and the whole game.

Pretty sure you have to protect all players with a NMC. After he's taken back his job I don't see him being moved. Penns will have to protect 2 goalies
