Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
That Lundqvist is really, really good and will be a challenge in the playoffs? Please enlighten us. My point was that Lundqvist is good, but he is not unbeatable.

I believe Rask was unbeatable last playoff

So we agree. :thumbsup we all know an NHL goalie as elite as him can literally carry a team through the playoffs. Saying things like "well he hasn't won a cup yet" doesn't change that. |

That's cool you believe that. It doesn't always work out though. What was the main reason the bruins won the cup in 2011? |
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Smitty wearing the C in his last game. Love that guy.

Boston, please don't get a shutout tomorrow.

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Still can't believe how soft that Streit goal was.
T make up for it, a pretty sick goal by Bonino http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/con...d=nhl:topheads |

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Love the Smyth stuff in Edmonton, Selanne in LA and loved watching the Bob Cole stuff on the NHL Network this morning. So happy I've been able to grow up near Canada to be able to watch CBC and Hockey Night in Canada. He is playoff hockey to me. Sounds like he's done after this year. NHL Network showed highlights of the Habs and Rangers and didn't say a word over it, just used the calls from Bob during the game. People talk about the McCarty goal from 97 and Gary Thorne calling it but I didn't have cable so had CBC over the air, although probably would have watched CBC instead anyways, but this is how I will always remember the biggest goal in Red Wings history.

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
I've never been more excited for an NHL season to come to an end. On fan appreciation day the Sabres will start their 6th different goalie (and half of their minor league squad). Best part is next season will be a repeat of this since they've openly talked about their desire to tank for McDavid. Woohoo!
|
Schedule out tonight?
|
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
I hope. the sooner the better
|
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Yeah it'll be out tonight. I'm sure they've got every scenario covered, just waiting for everything to be set.
|
If Detroit wins this game everything will be set. If STL wins then we have to wait and see what Colorado does

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
This Blues team isn't impressing me much today. If it's Hawks/Blues, I think the Hawks take it. Although they haven't looked good the last few games either but still expect Hawks to win in 5 or 6. Maybe Miller is struggling cause he's usually getting ready to golf right now.

Hawks in 3

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Great kill by the Wings.

Looking more and more like Hawks-Blues

Hawks in 3

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Oh Toronto. You're so bad.
|
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Hawks in 5. Wish the Wings could have got a point on Friday then they'd be going to Pitt.

Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Thanks Zidlicky! LA Kings & Quick win their first Jennings Trophy! Finally.
|
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Blues are horrible now. Hawks have already won that series. If the Blues even win a single game the Hawks could be in trouble.
|
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
Blues are having a rough stretch. They are not "Horrible." These things turn around quickly and we have no idea what kind of game shape Toews & Kane will be in. First two games in STL could easily go to the Blues with 19 & 88 getting back into things (and the Hawks' shaky mistake-prone defense does not help).
|
Re: The NHL 2013-14 Thread
I just hope the Hawks can keep the Blues from gooning it up too much and going into the second round beat up.

St Louis sucks. New era sharks.
