So later in the same game, the puck comes to Patrick Roy — as per league bylaws, every insane NHL moment must directly involve Patrick Roy — who flips a clearing attempt into the crowd.

Seems like Brian Rafalski is quietly making a return to the NHL. He's with the Tampa Bay Lightning's ECHL affiliate. Word has it Yzerman wants him on the team.

Pens are considering going back to the early 90s jerseys as a 3rd for next year. My only question is, what took them so long?

Lol that'd be awesome. I wish the Bruins would bring back their ugly alternates that had the bear face on the front.

Is this a desperate move to get Jagr to finally come back?

I was away from my seats when the Kings scored the 2nd goal in the beginning of he 2nd. Browns wife wouldn't let us go to our seats until the next commercial break (superstition) I looked at her like she was cray, so all us 5 girls stood in the circle we were in out in the hallway. Then Kings scored again shortly after. We were cracking up.

Went back to our seats at the commercial break and Boston scored shortly after we sat down.

Also, tons of Boston fans here. They get some pretty loud chants going!

HallowBillies7 01-09-2014 09:04 PM

Yeah I can hear them doing the lets go Bruins chant on tv. If these two teams played in the finals they would kill eachother.

Jhonas Enroth won't make any friends with his comment after tonight's game.....

"It's tough to win with this team."

I see where he's coming from.... Buffalo has scored 17 goals in the 14 games he's played in or something ridiculous like that.... but shit......

Well God sent him on this journey according to him. Yzerman is God here in Detroit so maybe. To the point about Stevie wanting him, I could see it. He's been off for almost 3 years. He'd be a nice addition to a young team. Play half a season, I think he'd be ok with his age. He was just getting too banged up towards the end. He still looked like he could play in the alumni game. Granted not a real game but still had the legs.

I of course didn't stay up for the late game last night for the Wings but some shit went down apparently. The good: Tatar with another beauty last night. The bad: Cleary elbowing a Sharks D. Totally unnecessary and stupid. He'll get a few games for that. Like the Wings need more guys out of the lineup. Then I just saw something about Bert throwing his helmet at a Sharks player. Maybe they finally have a fire under their asses after that butt kicking. They need it.

Good god there were a lot of Boston fans. Biggest visiting team contingent of the year I think. Let's see what happens Saturday with the red wings.

Also, how hilarious is it that Carcillo got traded by the Kings?

I don't know the exact provisions in the Chicago trade, as the Hawks would get a 5th round pick if Carcillo appeared in 40+ games for the Kings instead of a 6th round pick. So I'm guessing it's a 6th for the Hawks now and the Kings got a 7th from the Rangers.

Always thought it was hilarious when meatball Chicago fans said he had the skill to play on the top line with Kane and Toews, or that his "toughness" opened up lanes for Kane. He's so awful it's not even funny. OK it is kind of funny.
