That's good to hear. I fully admit I watched very little of the game, so my judgements are based on maybe 10 minutes of actually viewing. I was doing some finishing touches on the bathroom, and since Doc wasn't calling the game, I had no idea what was going on. :lol

Becs - I'm liking that Savard kid. Has some humps to get over, but on his way. :thumbsup

Kenny Albert, if I'm not mistaken.

Not a fan. I like Doc, Strader is ok, Rick Peckham and John Forslund I like too. Of course like my own guy Ken Daniels, but doesn't do many on the Network.

Yeah, after Doc and Mike Haynes (Avs), there aren't many more that stand out to me. Most do an adequate job at calling the game, but nothing special.

I liked Ference doing the studio stuff. Cool to have an actual current player offering insight because he can give more immediate insight into many of the players, having recently played against most of them. I also noticed JR was on his better behavior last night, maybe knowing a guy like Ference would call him on his shit? :lol

I will not watch the stupid crap on NBC. It's just so bad.

Bergeron, Toews and Kopitar Selke finalist for Selke.

I hope in a few years Couturier can pick up his offense game because he definitely deserves nomination

I generally will switch to another game or show between periods, but I was intrigued when I saw Ference. He did well, and seemed to get more comfortable as the game went on. I think it would be kinda cool to always have one of the normal guys (preferably only Jones or Carter, not Dilbury/JR) along with a current player. Again, they are just able to offer more applicable insights, IMO.

O'Reilly leads the league in takeaways... only gets Byng nomination. The Gabe also got shafted. Kopitar? Harumph. /homer

Paille is skating with the Bruins, both teams finally starting to get healthy. This could get interesting.

Wonder if the crying Blue Jackets kid was there last night. Probably a lot happier leaving that game if he was.

I usually avoid the CBC broadcasts. There's just something to the pace of how they call the game. Always a couple seconds behind and just not engaging enough.

Awesome :lol That kid puts my kids' hockey obsession to shame. Using his toy lawn mower as a zamboni and singing the national anthem? Simply awesome.

Not if he would have had any setbacks from his "upper body injury" (cough:: concussion:: cough)

I used to hate on him, but the creepy stuff has died down, and he's actually been really good the past couple years.

The only thing that he does still that bothers is his insistence on pronouncing last names of players with accents he doesn't actually possess. Shit drives me nuts
