So happy to see the band is coming back here for 2022. I've attended every Alpine DMB show since 2003 and I plan to continue the streak this year. Can't wait!

Its about time! I can't take another Summerfest show. While great to see the band, its just not Alpine.

I went with an AirBNB in Lake Geneva. I haven't been since 2016. I forget is it worth getting premier parking?

I get it.

We were right up front by the road and out in 10 minutes.

Im a local just outside of East Troy, so for those looking for some options if tailgating isn't something you want to do.

East Troy Brewery (https://etbrew.com/) - decent food, good beers, a little pricey for what you get but usually very chill atmosphere.
East Troy House (https://easttroyhouse.com/menu) - bar food and lots of options for drinks. Great "tailgate" atmosphere, very typical Wisconsin bar. Always a good time.
Sauced Pizza (https://www.getsauced.pizza/?view=store) - VERY good pizza spot for something quick. No alcohol.
There is also a Sushi Bar opening there in February (yes, sushi in East Troy... we are confused too)
2894 On Main (https://2894onmain.com/) - great breakfast/coffee stop, only open for breakfast and brunch on Sunday.

One of my favorite spots is Gus's Drive In (https://gussdrivein.com/menus/). Its a 1950's style drive in diner, every Saturday in the summer is a classic car show where maybe 50 to 75 different cars are on display. Amazing food, ice cream, one of the most popular spots in the area.

Also, there is a distillery that just opened up too. You can also bring your own food in (grab a pizza from Sauced and bring it in). https://www.thehivetaproom.com/

If you're into BBQ, there is an amazing BBQ joint called LDs BBQ (https://www.ldsbbq.com/menu/) that is one of the best I've had and highly recommend.

Friendly tip. If youre looking to get into the parking line closer to show time and don't want to wait in the line, hop on Townline Road from the north of Alpine by the Piggly Wiggly. So south on Townline and that runs right into highway D, which skips a majority of the line to get into parking.

If I think of other things, I'll post it here.

Anybody know if Pat is opening up her place to campers again? She has to be one of the all-time greatest hosts and one of best times at Alpine was staying with everybody there and riding the bus over to venue. Hoping we can do it again this year!

I've used it a few years, but to be honest, Alpine doesn't get packed the way it used to years ago. That means parking just hasn't been as much of a problem the last several times I've been there. Back in the 2000's when close to 40,000 people used to go to the shows, absolutely, having premier parking was a definite benefit when it used to take at least 45 minutes to get in and out of Alpine without it. Now I think only about 20,000 people go to the shows, so it's way easier than it used to be. I think we're usually out of the lot in under 20 minutes for sure. Sometimes faster.

That is awesome! Waiting to book any other campgrounds until we hear status of Mcintyre’s. By far the “coolest” crowd at Pat’s. 🤞🤞🤞

100%...

Ive stayed elsewhere and I cannot recommend anywhere else. I remember in 2015 when they were WAY over capacity.....that was such a party! Shame Walworth county came after her for that.

Janesville is the closest town with a plethora of hotel choices.

I did that back when I was a newb....it can be pretty depressing to go from a party with 30,000+ other fans to a lonely hotel room 45 minutes away, just sayin. I know everybody has unique needs tho!

I've got a big backyard, by all means! lol

Check Whitewater too, not too far and its a college town with a fun atmosphere downtown.

Alpine is back and it feels great.

Noticed on the WH event listing, Alpine doors and show time listed 30 minutes earlier than other shows. Maybe we get an opener?

We've stayed in Whitewater on almost every DMB Alpine weekend. Baymont Inn and Super 8 is very cheap if you're just looking for a horizontal surface overnight... Many food choices and a Walmart for tailgate prep, 25min to the venue while avoiding Interstate 43 both ways. Nothing special but it offsets the upgrade to Pavilion seats for us.:)

We've stayed in Brookfield/Waukesha almost every time we've gone to Alpine. It's about a 40 minute drive to Alpine, which is no big deal, and there are plenty of hotels since it's a suburb of Milwaukee.

You can also stay at Alpine if you can swing the $380/night cost. They aren't accepting reservations that far out yet online so you have to call to make the request.

Also look in Mukwonago, there are a few hotels and Airbnbs there and its right on 43. I'd also check out Muskego, Big Bend, or Delavan. All are right on 43 and easy on/off.
