I think 75% of past STL shows have been on a Wednesday. If we’re really lucky we get a Sunday show!

Based on the enthusiasm in here, pits should be easy to get.

I already see myself coming down with a cold on the 16th.

If we hadn't gotten any snow days, this would've been my last day of school. That woulda been awesome.

It just so happens that I am flying to Florida for something that weekend so now I am just going to fly out Thursday morning! I can't believe how it worked out because it's about a 2 hour drive from home to St Louis (the closest airport). And the hotels near the venue have shuttles to the airport. Woot woot. For once they made my life easy.

Newbie to St. Louis. Is the concert at the casino, near casino? Is it better to book hotel there? Lots of questions.

Staying at the Hollywood Casino is a good option. Even if you don't, you can park there and take the shuttle over for a small fee. The casino has beer vending outside the shuttle pickup too so it's convenient.

The concert is near the casino. I did the walk once between the two at the 2016 show and I want to say it was a 20 minute walk, taking the back route along the levee. I would say most people who get a hotel for this show do stay at the Hollywood Casino hotel. Several people spend the afternoon at the nearby Dave & Busters. What other questions do you have?

Stayed at the casino when I did the show in 2016. Had a great time that night. Casino was nice and the shuttle very convenient. They did sell beers in the shuttle line between drops and that was nice as well

How long is the wait to get back on the shuttle post show? I've always just parked at the amp, but like any other show, getting out is a nightmare. I wouldn't mind parking at the casino and having a beer while waiting for the ride over.

Having a baby in June so I am gonna miss my typical run of Chicago, Alpine, and Noblesville and my best friend is getting married over Gorge weekend. So this is the ONE AND ONLY show I can make. Will be thankful to this thread for all the insider info. Glad it’s like 6 shows in so hopefully they are warmed up and on point.

Not making this show this year but we stayed at the casino in 16, it was a great place. Getting too and from the show was a breeze. Have fun in Kansas City ;-).

There's no show in Kansas City?

In 2016 Dave said “lost somewhere in Kansas City” in the opening of Nancies. He corrected himself later in the show. Kind of funny

I was there and felt embarrassed. He got booed actually and it was awkward. Not really funny.

Didn’t hear any boos from where I was. We all chuckled about it. He corrected himself shortly after.

Oh, haha. I was there for that as well. I blocked that from my memory.

Fun story: When I first moved to STL, I went to see DMB and after the show there were folks handing out a paper that said be the 101st caller when we play DMB on the radio tomorrow and win $1000. I called but didn't get through. I figured they would run the same contest after N2 (but I didn't go to that show) so I listened to the station and when they played DMB I called in anyway. And I was the 101st caller and won $1000!

There were boos, listen closely to the recording, the are very noticeable. Didnt think it was awkward, obviously not the first time he's messed up towns. Ha.

Most likely the only show we get to this year! I live about 20 minutes from the venue so it is super simple to get to. May I suggest Premier Parking to those of you that want to get in and out of the venue. My wife and I were in different cars going home a few years ago and my car was in Premier Parking and I was home in 20 minutes. The second car which was in general parking wasn't even out of the lot when I pulled into our garage.

Thanks for the tip! Requested premier parking through Warehouse so anxiously waiting for confirmations to post. St. Louis is closest show for me and the wife so its Maryland Heights or bust for us this year.

Unsolicited dining tip for anyone unfamiliar with St.Louis; Gioia's Deli - the best sandwich you'll ever find. Their location in Creve Coeur is like 15 min from the venue.
