Hey everyone! It's been 12 years, which ironically was about the interval between the last two times DMB played the Boise area, but our favorite boys are coming back to the Treasure Valley! *Cue the Rock dropping an in ring promo*

This will be at the Idaho Center, which I'm sure many of you have seen other performances at, so I'm curious how this will compare against the previous shows at the pavilion/taco bell arena. Post away!

I'm curious about the Ford Center too. I've never seen a show inside there. I was at the 2010 Taco Bell show.

Might be the easiest pit rail on the tour!

We are coming from Phoenix! Recommendations on things to do, breweries, etc?

OH yeah, we got the breweries! In order of my preference: Barbarian, Payette, Clairvoyant, Lost Grove. Those are all in downtown Boise. There's not much out in Nampa where the show is. There's an awesome taproom out there: PreFunk, but it's still a drive from venue.

Re: ***Official Nampa, Idaho November 8th 2022 thread!***

Just moved to Nampa from Atlanta, so I don't know many of the breweries, but I would definitely second the recommendation for Barbarian (there's also another location in Garden City).
There seems to be only one actual brewery in Nampa, "Crescent". When I was there, their selection and what I tasted seemed fairly middle of the road. They do have a more "pre-IPA explosion" selection so there should be something for everyone.

I hope you got them! The weather is supposed to be iffy that day - wondering when people are planning on showing up to sit in line - I know I'm still undecided.

Also, Idaho Center is SO MUCH better sound-wise than the Pavillion/Taco Bell/whatever it's called now Arena at BSU. I have skipped shows at BSU because unless you're up front, it's blah.

If you're coming in from out of town, Mad Swede, Barbarian and Mother Earth breweries are my top picks. Downtown Boise (area around 8th and Main) has some stuff to explore. Check out Freak Alley, too!

Despite the talk of covering upper decks and low attendance at other places Nampa/Boise has shown up tonight. Good fill of the venue

People need to stop throwing fucking glow sticks on stage. Rashawn was visibly pissed. Way to fucking go morons.

I wasn’t there, and I’ve never thrown anything at a concert, but Rashawn has looked pissed at every show. First show I saw him live was front row and not at a DMB concert. Dude is crazy talented, but he acts like being on stage is an inconvenience. Probably pissed he will never be an original member of a great band.

What are the thoughts on the setlist? It seems to be filled with very short songs. Very "radio-friendly" hits...

on paper that may have looked like one of the worst sets I have seen... its a shame DMB does not play any surprising shows at less in demand venues/shows

I would say it was "fine". Considering the location and that it was like 10 years since they last played the area it was about what I would expect: play the traditional hits, some new songs, and a few from the most recent album. I was hoping at least one deep cut would be thrown in but no dice. (Unless you count #41 and LIOG as deeper cuts...which in the context of "traditional radio hits" I suppose they are).
I'm fairly amenable to Old Dirt Hill but its place in the set seemed odd and sucked the energy that had built up after SMTS/Too Much.
The new version(from Come Tomorrow) of Can't Stop moves along well enough; it doesn't excite me but it's not particularly offensive either.
I was happy to have avoided Jimi Thing and Bayou.

After thinking, I categorized the songs in the set below:
10* "singles" from the albums
2 new songs
2 songs that the Antsmarching boards hate (ODH, Cant Stop)
2 fan crowd pleasers (41, warehouse)
2 miscellaneous/idk how to categorize them (LIOG, Do You Remember)
1 Cover
1 Solo/Cover
*counting WtWE that was supposed to be the single before 9/11 and Space Between subbing in

Sometimes they do, I've gotten some heat at some mid week random southeast shows with small crowds. But it isn't common. I've seen way more sets like last night's in those markets.

I mucked up my acronyms, LithoG is what I meant. We did not get Lie In Our Graves last night.

Yeah we were pretty pissed about that too. It was our kids' first show, we got a foil, a set list, and Dave's picks. We wanted to frame it all but just feels different without the stub. We damn near got in a fight with the gate ladies about tearing it. Damn Nampa, ID fucking it all up like usual!:thumbsdow
